YES!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was wondering when it'd finally be here. I've spent a crapload of $$$ on paintball stuff lately though cause of the Tribals I recently bought, so I dunno if I'm gonna lay down the $100 for a MAC ram right away, but I'd rather have a mech anti-chop solution than eyes so I think i'll get it eventually, maybe in May.

Yoda, did you have any chops with it? would you say it is close to the reliability of PDS?

They are unassembled at this point. I still have a few things to do to them before they are ready to be shipped out. I will work on them tomorrow and get all the pre-orders filled for those that have them. I should have enough to get to your order Jaz.

For those that I dont get to with this first batch we will have more arriving within the next two weeks. The shop was suppose to run another 40 of them over the next couple of days.

You might want to ask Yoda what he thinks about the installation. The Basics are you remove the bolt pin. Unscrew the ram housing. Screw in our ram housing. Reengauge the bolt.

The MAC Ram is now installed.

I dont know for sure. I have yet to get ICD to send me a 2K5 ram housing so I can test the MAC Ram in it.

I have put the assembly into a 4 way Mod'd bko that I believe uses the same basic housing as the B2K5 will use and found no problems with it.

I would love to do this. The Biggest problem is dumping the HD requires a major back up on my end. I have tried to back my system up and it crashes during the back up process. I have been slowly moving files from one HD to the next to prepare the main HD for formating and reinstallation of windows. I just hate to do this. The last time something like this happened it took me a month to get everything all lined out where I could start processing orders and I dont want to go through that again. I am very reluctant to do that again. If it means I cant load videos and edit them on my PC then I am fine with that as long as it doesnt cause problems like it did previously and at this present time it isnt creating any issues there.

I believe the issues that SP2 caused me is involving the IRQ sharing of my USB devices. I have had issues with my USB devices printing slow. It takes them upwards of 2-5 minutes to print. I have tried several of the suggested fixes for IRQ conflicts after the SP2 upgrade and none of these seem to work at the present time. I am still hopeful. I have one of my IT buddies workin on the issue for me. Only problem with this is he is so busy I only get him to come out and check out my PC about once a month if I am lucky.

These fits BKOs right. And I have an 02 BKO with the unbuildable ram. What would I do? Buy a whole new ram assembly?

Jazkal

These are for B2k's only, he's working on ones for BKO's I believe.

you need a 4-way noid or the ram will not vent.

is the hammer the same weight as stock

or lighter

can we use out lightened hammer on our stock hammers?

ShootPaint
02-05-2005, 06:08 PM
Presently the MAC Ram comes with a stock hammer. We are working on a few things that may make your hammer selection a little better in the near future.

There is no reason a MAC Ram couldnt be ran with a lighter hammer.

I would need to see the evolve or at least know how it works before I could even speculate as to what I could possibly do.

I can tell you this. I have a valve that is in the works and has been in the works for about a year now. If I can figure out what is causing some cupseal leaks on it I think people will be suprised at what we can do with it.

What thing?? The MAC Ram or the Valve???

The MAC Ram is already being sold under pre-orders. It status will chance from pre-orders to instock as soon as I get my hands on a few minor parts that are needed to complete the build of the ram.

The valve like I stated above has some cupseal leak issues that I have to work through.

can't wait for that valve. I just played with my gun for the first time today since I got my Glad and vapor valve. I lowered my inline pressure from 255psi to 200psi flat, and turned down my LPR a bit, maybe 10psi. I was floored! And this is with the stock valve spring, as opposed to the lighter spring that I was using with my stock valve. if the Vapor valve could do that, then I can't imagine what shootpaint's valve will do judging by how he's described it so far. Screw PDS, I'll be pinching paint with my stock bolt!

i want a valve that is easy for the gun to open so even without the mac ram is can pinch

It is being worked on now!!!

One of my proto-types actually got outta here and the guy that bought one of my 2K's thought I was trying to pull something over on him. He thought some of the parts to the marker was missing and something was wrong with the LPR because of the pressure it was running at.

sorry for being OT but

there only seems to be 2 ways to lower the force to open the valve

by PSI
and surface area

if you can keep the surface area small yet improve flow though the valve so you can lower the psi then it should work well

There are other ways to work around the valve opening with less force.

We have three different designs that work on different concepts all three show potential but the biggest problem is seal the valve at this time.

yeah springs but to me thats nominal
and can be changed

how else?

maybe spring just a hair shorter than the lenght it must span?

or maybe shape like the combination of a rocket and zenitram

also a thin stem much like the ones used in evil valves?

MMMMM could be :)

If I can get my marker up and running I will take it to HB with me. I will have a few of my new toys on it. The valve is one of the things that will be in it :) Along with the MAC ram, New trigger, 4x4 LPR adaptor and maybe a few other things if time permit.

I will have three markers out there to show different things we have coming.

Obviously the B2K as well as a BKO and FreeStyle.

Now that the MAC ram is out, I can't wait for the 4-way kit for BKOs. My BKO is outta comission due to a blown noid and I decided to wait for the 4-way instead of putting a 2 way back in.

We are still waiting on some parts to come in for them. It will only take a few minutes to assemble them once we recieve the remaining parts.
