I need to buy a barrel for my new 2001 Vert feed Autococker. I wanted to know which I should get.

I hate how the ceramics dont come with 0-rings......... my vote goes to a CP 1-piece barrel, they are very well made. My second choice is a SP Teardrop

overall i would say teardrop is the best barrel out there for 50-60 bucks... i sometimes choose my tear over my boomstick

Before i got a freak, i used Lapco stuff exclusively. i'd go with them.

Since that seems to be your price range, I would suggest the J&J Ceramic. It has a very smooth polished bore, and its super easy to clean.

Personally, I would suggest a step up, for only 20-30 dollars at most more, you can get some much better barrels. But thats just me.

I would strongly AVOID the ceramics. They are easily cleaned out when a ball breaks in them true, however due to the ceramic coating the actual bore size of the barrel is unknown. This not only means that you must actually get lots of different paint to see which fits it best but also, other barrels (particularly the CP 1 pc) in the same price range are much better

Unfortunately, the ceramic barrels, if you know the bore, are a much better product, and will last you through more paint.

Skillz is right though, the bore does vary. It can be somewhere between .686 and .691. Thats a pretty large difference, but its easily tested by just taking a medium bore paintball (like .688) and dropping it down the barrel. If it goes down without touching the sides, then you should use large bore paint, if it gets stuck and wont go down, use small/medium bore paint. If it goes down with a little resistance, but you can still see some light surrounding it, you found a perfect match. You have to do this with every barrel you get, this just adds a step.

Its not that hard finding paint/barrel match but it is extra work

And maybe its just me, but I don't like not knowing the actual bore of my barrel...

shouldnt it be "Which Barrel is Better" what would mean that every possible selection is available, yet better implys that that there is a concise list. Which there is. He he he. I over analyze stuff way too much.

Equation Design Bizerk Pro Kit

It's like $79 and comes with three inserts of your choice.

I say Lapco. I just got a Bishot for my 2k2 VF cocker, and love it... It shoots better than my CP (same bore size), and is more efficient than my AA.

bizerk is a great cheap barrel, 79$ for the barrel and 3 inserts, the hard part is chosing sizes, heheh

venom looks like he really wants that barrel, ive seen too many posts of him praising one, why dont you buy one?? Its been out for bushmasters a while now.
