Ok, so my friend is selling me his b2k3.5 PDS or .7 i duno which but it came with the reg with no hump deal. so hes selin it to me for 150 w/o a reg but thats ok cuze i have a cp on my angel and ill just put the mini back on it. so anyway i really want the b2k5 but i cant pass this deal up. i had a whacky idea of taking off the tray, buying a clamshell, and having my local shop tech fill in the tray screw holes and drilling and tapping holes for the clamy and have a trayless gun. since im paying so little i doubt that id go over teh price of a b2k5. after he mounts the frame, hed mill the bottom to kinda curve into the drame so it doesnt look tacky as hell.
leave me ur thoughts:D

dont forget because the solenoid is now in the trigger frame on the 05 b2k you would also need to tap the solenoid for qevs and run lines from it and the ram, there would be more work to be involved then you thought. Honestly you cant go wrong on that deal even turning around and reselling it right away you are going to make some cash that you can put towards an 05 b2k.

You would have to remove the noid.

Drill and tap the body of the marker for barbs. This has to be done because the older model B2K's had internal air passaged.

With the noid removed you would then need to tap the noid for barbs as well to get into and out of the solenoid.

Finally you would need to purchase a clamshell frame to get it the noid, board and battery all in the frame.

This isnt going to be a simple task but it could be done.
Chances are after all the time and labor is put into it you may actually be a few bucks over the cost of the B2K5. This all depends on how much they charge you for labor.

If memory serves me correctly the new ICD Clamshell frame is suppose to run around $250. So as you can see you will be roughly $400 before you ever start on any of the modifications that it will need.

if the icd clamy is 250 then ill just go with a bl one. since the body will have to be tapped for the frame i might as well use a cheaper one. i caould solve the noid problem by buying a b2k5 noid. im goin to talk to my gun tech about making the conversion tomarrow

im thinking it could be done with not all to much difficulty. Now shoot, (i got my reg and its awsome but back to buissness) the icd clam is going to be 250?! thats steep! i think i would get it in a year or two to make my b2k that one inch shorter....ya.....250 for one inch....hummm.... it is a clam tho, but i like the frame i have now so o well.

if that 1 inch is really important to you and you would rather have a clammy, see how much it would cost. otherwise buy a 2k5 if its more in the long run.

then buy a timmy. I dont understand why you would want a B2k when your angel is better.

150 for a b2k3? i cant pass that up since i dont have a backup. plus, i want to do something to this gun thatll make it stand out. i know someone that has put a dm4 noid and board in there so i was thinkin of doning the same. since im not doin a crazy mod to my angel, ill stikc to this cheap b2k that if it breaks: 1. itll be cheaper to fix and 2. im not out 1500

yeah i agree with u just buy it as a backup but just save your money and don't do the mod. just get somethign new for ur angel. like a barrel or something else for it.
