By the end of the summer I plan on having a setup that will fullfill my needs as a paintball player in the western kentucky area which has mild summers and cold winters. Would this set-up be good for what I play which is speedball. I do not want a new gun instead. Just stick to the threads main idea and tell me if it is any good. (This is not my current set-up. It is a planed set-up.)

Tippy 98 Custom

- 32 Degrees Whisper barel
- Expansion chamber
- VL Revy w/ X-Board
- Airgun designs warp feed (if I can get ahold of one and make it fit on the tippy)
- Dead On Model 98 Custom Pro-Seal
- Psycho Ballistics Bullet with On/Off Drop Forward - Black

I will think of more later. Maybe get a compressed air tank. thats a big iffy though.

You should get a response trigger kit too.

Bah. I would but my local field does not allow response triggers.

ok heres what i think....
new barrel....yes please every1 should have a new barrel
ex-chamber..yes it helps my accuracy my my 32* barrel
VL hopper NO... go w/ a reloader or TSA
warp feed... WHY it doesnt seem right for the 98c it somehow doesnt seem right:eyes:
pro-seal...sure
drop.. YES it evens out my gun weight so much.
i really like my DOP double trigger.
just my thoughs, it helps w/ my firepower

a warp feed does seem weird for some reason.

look at my set up, in my profile, that plus some home done mods and an agitating hopper and you'll be happy.

Heres the setup ob the 98 I use for a backup to my Impulse. I think its probably more the player than the marker but here goes.
1. Dye Xcel 14 inch barrel
2. Double Trigger
3. 5 inch drop forward
4. Evolution 2 (because I use that for my Impulse also.)
5. 68/3000 Nitroduck tank

I've had 0 problems playing speedball with this setup. While it is slower than my Impulse I can still rail on it fast enough to keep heads down when I need to, and the Xcel has a 0.691 bore size which is nice when you are shooting fast. With the .689 size barrels I tend to have more barrel breaks, but thats just my personal opinion and experience.

I forgot to tell you guys that I already have a double trigger on it. I bought one when I bought the gun itself. I want the warp feed because I can and because you never see a tippy w/ warp feed and I hate those hopper hits. I want it for the same reason anyone else wants one on their impulse or automag: Lower Profile.

When upgrading a Tippmann it's best to follow the K.I.S.S. principle. Thussly I would recommend:
A Custom Products or J&J Ceramic barrel in 12" or 14".
Compressed Air, just get it, it'll be less of a pain than having to install the VA and X-chamber and all of that. Not to mention it's more consistent and all of that jazz.
I'd go Reloader or even EggII for the hopper X-board Revs are just getting too slow for double triggered Tippies with some of the mods that are out there.
NO NEW INTERNALS. The stock ones are just fine thank you. Unless something goes horribly wrong with your stock powertube or front bolt there is no need to replace them.
I strongly suggest you try both a drop forwarded setup AND a unimounted set-up use whichever you prefer, I like the uni a bit better for speedball.
Last, but certianly not least, get a double trigger and do a trigger job. Read or trigger job sticky or go to model98.net.After that be done with it.

Please read the entire thread before you post. I already have the double trigger as seen in the above posts. I do not want to spend a bunch of money on an e-bolt. I wanted to know if you guys thought that the warp feed would fit. I plan on using a reloader now that I looked at prices. I must stay in the $250 range people & my store has a warp feed for $40.

Hehe, and he says that to me...sorry I missed that little detail. Job that puppy and have fun.

A Warp Feed can be fitted but it's heavy on your already heavy marker and it will hang off whichever side of the marker you put it on. This will limit your ability to work out of certain bunkers where it would be exposed before you snap shoot. I would advise against it. But if you want it that bad $40 is a good price.

Trust me though, you really REALLY want to get HPA. Even if you think you don't you DO. In fact if you skip, the VA, Drop, X-chamber, and Proseal you should have almost enough.

^ that link sent me to crossman air guns(bb guns) and the warp feed will work on any gun, i've seen it on a phantom pum(lil over kill) the ebolt and aftermarket bolt are usless for the money. the rest of ur upgrades sound pretty kool, but i would drop the x chamber and look for a cheap HPA tank. and don't listen to coenen he don't know nuttin j/k :D .

<- Has a warp feed, and no, you don't need some special adapter for it to work, just a dremel ;) (or a hacksaw and some sandpaper would do the same thing)

Here's some pics (click on them for bigger picture)
Modded feedneck adapter (comes with the warp)
