I've been a fan of Evil products ever since i started playing paintball (about 2 years or so ago) but I've been forced to play with a battered and bruised tippman for most of that time. I've finally gathered enough money to buy a gun and i have decided on the Omen. It's been a little scary reading all the reviews. Although most are good you get about 3 or 4 bad ones. I'm putting that past me and going for it. I have just a few questions.

1. A recomended hopper (i am thinking of a Halo B w/ rip drive but i don't know)
2. Air source (My friend suggested a scion but that costs more than the gun itself so i was looking for maybe a slightly more affordable air source)
3. Any tips that will help me with this gun (In terms i could understand would be sort of helpful)
4. I was wondering where I should buy it. I've found some websites where it costs about 300$ but I don't want to buy the older version without the cam arms and the new board. I'm thinking of purchasing it from http://www.actioncenterpaintball.com/store/SearchResult.aspx?CategoryID=3 but i would like to know if it is the newer version and if not where to get one (cheap prefrably)

Thanks

First, a hopper will depend on how fast you shoot, I'd go for the halo now like you want because you won't have to buy a faster one later in your days if you choose somthing like a revy now. If you're pressed for money, you can get an Evlution 2 with a z-board, it's around 75 bucks and is good for about 21 bps.
Second, a centerflag system would work well, also crossfire is good. Go for a 68/4500 tank.
Third, go to evil's site and read the manual, that will help you the most.
Last, Action Village is very good, also paintballfirst.com is a good website to look at.

I hope i helped.

the new board and cam arms were just released they don't come stock with the omens if you buy a omen you will still have to order them but they are reasonable cheap go to rjskateworks.com and if you want to use yer halo you will have to get the cam feed i just got the new board and arms i am playing with a reloader b and it rips. the omen is a good gun to buy but defiantly READ THE MANUAL that prolly were most of those bad reviews cam from people not reading the manual first and get the new board a cam ups the help alot

1. I'd recommend a EvoLution 2 with Z board for starters then a Halo when you get the new arms and board.
2. Get a 68/4500 crossfire screw in. Best Tank on the market and cheap.
3. Yor prolly don't have a but load of cash for a Halo or the new board or CAM arms yet. Buy the Omen for $300, get the evo 2 with Z and get a tank for starters. When you get more cash get the board first, then save up for the Halo and Cam arms at the same time and buy them at once. I'd keep the evo 2 around as a back up. Halos can have problems some times, and it's nice to have a back up hopper.
4. Buy it at www.rjskateworks.com Support the, He has done so much for the Omen comunity. No places as of yet to any ones knowledge sells Omen with the new board and CAM arms stock. Evil will release that information when they plan to make it a stock Item. Mostlikly the older Omen will stay the same price and the price will go up a liuttle bit on all newer Omen. Or the price will drop again but I dout it since it just came down from $450 to $330.

Oh and GoHere (http://www.pbnation.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=263) when ever you have a problem or a question concerning the Omen.

DON'T GET AN EGG IF YOU'RE GOING TO GET A HALO LATER. Only get the egg if you pressed for money, its not worth getting the egg, then buying the halo and trying to get whatever money you can get out of the used egg. If you have the money go halo.

yeah but i heard not to get a halo cuz itll force feed and screw the omen over cuz it cant handle without the cam arms

btw i looked at the cam arms and it looked confusing as anything to install

also i found a crossifre sytstem thats 92/4500 for only like 10 bucks more. Should i get it? And if i do should i get high or low pressure?

i would say stick with the 68/4500 tank and also the cam arms are really easy to tak in and out so installing them wont be a problem

Like I said if he cac't afford it. To get a Halo he also has the get the New Cam arms which would make the upgrade to Halo more expensive. I have the new board b ut chose to stick with a egg 2 and old cam arms. I just go a little slower and it's all good. The egg can feed up to 15 bps or so, and thats just fine and dandy cause thats all I can shoot. Same goes with most peeps unless it's illegal.

The Halo would normall push the paint past the Cam arms, but the thicker New Cam arms fix this. They do not come stock yet.

They are VERY easy to install.....1, 2, 3... 5 small screws and your set. Thats would be the Cam cover, the Cam ram vack cover, the Cam arm pivot screw and the small screws that hold the Cam arms onto the Cam. OPnce you take it apart you will get it...the entire Omen is actually very simple.

Size is all personal preff. Sure you will get more shots...but you get all day air most the time....for some people a 92 is to big, unless your a really big guy and do no mind a Big tank then thats fine, other wise I say stick with a 68.

You can try checking on ebay?
for the hoppers you could get a halo but not as recommended get a evo 2 with y board if you walk the trigger fast, or a ricochet apache which goes to 20 bps. for upgrades a new barrel and a feedneck all te upgrades are capable with the socker vision.
