What barrel should I get?
J&J or the CP?
I read JJ is quieter. Also heard it cleans itself. I heard JJ gets lose, same as CP

get a cp classic. its the newer version of the 1 piece. also, if you play in woods, consider a 16 inch, but if you play speedball, don't even think about it.

Cp 1 piece is better overall.

if im not mistaken, the cp can clean itself too, but if youre shooting the right paint then it wont matter cause your proibably not gonna chop, save for the one bad ballin a handful. the cp is also not too bad with noise even on a tippy, but then again im used to hearin rifles and shotguns more then pb guns....

I've heard that even though the ceramic is "capable" of cleaning itself.. it's not really something you should bank on and you'd be better off just pulling a quick squee-gee through it.

I have had paint break in a CP and there is no way that it can clean it self, lets just say after a break it shoots as striaght as a circle

well...no barrel is completely self cleaning. even after shooting thru a break, its not gonna be shooting as accurately as it could be, till you squeeg it out. I cant say anything about the cp, cause I dont know anybody that uses them. but both of my pb buddies use the J&J and swear by them. both of them make a lot very good shots with them also.

I've tried both, the J&J didn't clean itself out when i was playing (marbs) and also it was terribly inaccurate, the CP on the other hand is just as quiet, more accurate, and i tested it with zap rec lol, so much more accurate. I havn't broken since, so i dont know about the self cleaning.
CP>J&J

i have a ceramic and the few times it did break it definitaly cleaned itself on the next one or two shots. never had experience with a cp one piece though

nope. According to J&J, you can clear a break from one of their barrels by doing shoot-throughs. Granted they still recommend cleaning the barrel out with a squeegee ASAP. And I definitely agree with that, cause your ball flight is NOT what it could be, until ya do.
