pics in sig?

Is it possible to be able to put pictures (about avatar size) in your signature? If it's not possible, could we make it possible, or is this too difficult with not enough reason to do so?

i dont think that is going to happen guys. putting pics in the sig would slow down the site. maybe not for you guys or whoever has a broadband connection, but it would suck to surf these forums if you have a 56k connection, and everyone has huge pics in their sig.

I wasn't talking about huge pics. I just meant avatar size. Like people have funny sayings in their signature so why not have funny pictures? If you can wait for a big picture thread to load i think we could handle people having 2 avatars.

But, I can understand if Andrew doesn't want to put that capability into the website, i'm sure it takes a butt load of time to do that.

Just use your avatar! Alot of guys change their avatars like their underwear (in some cases, not soon enough! :eek: ) Changing your avatar will be "easier" for you on a weekly or monthly bases, then for us to try and redesign this end.

Why would you want another avatar in your sig? I don't think it would be that hard to activate it, but I have no clue how these forums are run. I think it would be pretty pointless, you would just have people on 56k connections spamming the boards saying to get rid of them, and then you would have the Cable/DSL users telling them to shut up, so in reality I think it would just cause a lot of commotion.

OK, this is what I was thinking. I think of peoples avatar as their face on pbreview. When I read a thread I sometimes just look for avatars of people I know who post thoughtful/funny/helpful replys and skip the people who post mindless garbage. I was thinking that since people put a lot of stuff in their signature, specifically funny stuff such as quotes from other members and jokes, that it might be cool to be able to put funny little pictures (just avatar size) in the signature along with their jokes etc.

Obviously you couldn't have your own picture thread in your avatar or nobody would be able to load the threads but having ONE avatar sized image in your sig. would not slow down the pages that badly even for 56k users (which includes me)

Sime people, like me, can care less what funny pictures you have or what gun youhave or funny lines youve heard for that matter. If you want to show people funny pics put a link in your sig or something. Theres already a place to put an avatar size pic for people to see and thats the avatar. I hate looking at message boards where people have pictures in there. I hate scrolling through the long signatures as it is.

Redesign? I've used this script before, and all you have to do is check off the box that allows it :P However, I'm not saying it's a good idea, either.
