Just had a day of ballin indoors and my BKO let me down.

My set up:
04 Red BKO
16" CP 1 pc .689
CP reg
Vapor Valve
RICO Apache loader
47/3000 CF tank

The vapor valve was the last time I opend up my gun and I lubed all the O-rings in the gun without over doing it and this is about 30 days ago.

Anyways, I was at the field got my air, loaded paint and chroned. My bko started leaking from the solenoid area so I turned down the LPR and it stopped. I now was shooting 210-220 FPS. Tried turning the LPR up a little but leaked. So I decided to take it all apart. Degassed BKO. Opened it up, Tightend solenoid screws but not too tight that the gasket buldges, aired it up, still leaked. Made sure the gasket was properly in place to. So I was like ok Ill just play with 215 FPS. Im on the field then when I hit 3 BPS my gauge goes down to 150 PSI then climbs up to the normal PSI I have in 2 seconds. If I reach higher the balls start to get stuck in the barrel.

Things that I did/ done.
My HPR is set at 270
CF 47/3000 was filled to 2.5k
NEW BATTERIES. Tried 1 new energizer and a fully charged re-chargable battery. Nothing.
Wasn't the hopper because the apache does 17
Detents are good.
Batterys in the hopper were good.
Previous to this event (30 days ago) I lubed all my O-rings without over doing it.
Already tightend solenoid.

I am honestly stumpped on this one.

When you had the marker apart did you lube the orings in the reg as well?

Another thing that cause shoot down is turning your on/off valve in to far when you gas the marker up.

When you gas your marker up turn the on/off valve in until you hear the marker gas up and then go a quarter turn more. Any more than this can cause the on/off pin to seal the valve of your tank and create major shootdown/recharge issues for your marker.

^shootpaint said exactly the same thing that I was thinking. Sounds like your on/off is causing it. Make sure it is all the way on, but not jamming the pin on the tank.

I do not have an on/off. I just have a screw in asa. I lubed my regs as well when I installed the valve. Ill give the gun another clean up.

hmmm....and i was so sure it was the on/off too.

for some reason the gun is starving for air. It could be the tank regulator. Borrow a friend's tank and see if that fixes it. My bro's gun had the same problem.

If its not the tank then its probly the inline. When you take it apart look at the piston, see if it is too tight in there. Maybe the piston o-ring isn't seated correctly and it's slowing down the piston by rubbing against the reg body? This would slow down the recharge, starving the LPR at higher rof. I've never taken apart a CP inline so this is just conjecture, but it makes sense. Shootpaint knows more about CP's so he could probly help.

Just spent 1 HOUR cleaning my CP reg. Making sure everything is spit-shine clean. Lubed all the o-rings. Set all my regs at zero before I gassed my bko up again. This is what happend.

Screwed in tank after I set regs to 0.
Set HPR to 220 PSI
then adjusted the LPR til it leaked then gave it a half turn to decrease pressure.
Shot 5 balls and got shoot down.
Tried again while looking at gauge, the Gauge is climbing to 220 psi for 2 seconds.

The marker is being starved in the HPR/ LPR area. I never have had this problem until a few days ago. All the O-rings and washers in the reg are in ship shape.

^Psh... I wish I had friends who played paintball. Im the only one in my town with an air tank. The other people in my town still think BE is the shiat.

Good news though.
Apparently there was half a tank o-ring stuck in the tank asa.

This problem was reprted as being solved on another forum. He had a piece of tank o-ring in his ASA
