View Full Version : bad flatlines
Are flatlines any good or bad? I always get people saying there heavy bad accuracy and others say the opposite

Well, the first lot was right. I'm not sure about the weight (it should be the same as any other barrel w/out the shroud on), but the accuracy is pretty bad. Also, the distance that the flatline adds on pretty much is canceled out by the fact that past the distance of other barrels, balls simply do not break! I would much rather spend my money on an Armson Stealth, which is known to add 15-20 feet to your range because it has internal rifling. A Smart Parts All American or a Lapco Bigshot are also great choices for speedball, but the Stealth is the best by far for woods play.

That's not exactly true...about the balls not breaking. I didn't have much of a problem at all with balls not breaking. Now, if you're firing from a riduculous distance that even the flatline is going to have trouble reaching, sure you're going to have problems with the balls not breaking...or if you're shooting at too low of a velocity, but... (As a note...285 fps is a good velocity for the flatline.)
Overall, I don't agree that it's a problem...and if you have the flatline lined up properly, the accuracy isn't THAT bad at the long distances. Let me put it this way...if you're a back player, while you're not going to have the dead on accuracy of a SP AA at 75 feet, but you're going to have enough to keep oppenent's heads down to help your front players...
