Hi guys, i'm tired of tearing holes out of my knees in my jeans when i play paintball. Do any of you guys wear kneepads, if so what kind? Who do you buy from and about how much should I expect to pay for some decent ones?

I have the same problem as you with the tearing up the pants thing. A lot of guys wear kneepads, especially speedball players who slide and stuff all the time. I've been looking into kneepads myself. Redz makes some nice ones that are combination knee and shin pads. The only problem is they run like 70 bucks. You could probably find a decent pair of knee-only pads for around 35 I'm guessing.

I went to Wal-Mart and spent $10 on knee-pads intended for rollerblading. I will never play without them again. By far the best money I've ever spent on this sport!

I've had the Renegade knee/shin pads for over a year and a half now- the things are indestructible- when they look worn out, put them in the washer, presto- new pads. they cost me like forty bucks, but they were well worth it.

i have dye knee pads and the ROCK! they have like springs in them so it bounces back to a strait position so you get more spring in your legs when you run

I suggest fox apperal chin/knee gards. They are about 40 bucks, hold on tights, save your knees and are comfy as hell.

I have a pair of Raven knee/shin guards. Personally, I think they hold together better than any others on the market, and they have more cushion around the knees than any other that I've worn.

I put an extra peice of cloth on the inside of my pants, No holes yet :) nock on wood. you could also just slide in on your hip and curl you legs up,. like a baseball slide but tuck legs in.. I like doin it like that.
Do the leg/knee ones have a strap that goes behind your knee? I hate how rollerblade pads rap around the back of your knee (thats why I wear pads no more)

Whatever you do, don't buy knee-pads from a paintball company, you'll get gyped real good. Just go buy a pair of knee-pads for skating.

I got some Renegade knee/shin pads for Christmas and they're great. For speedball only players knee only might be cheaper but if you ever set food it the woods make sure you proect your shins too.
Nothing can ruin a day like doing a running slide over a sharp rock.

A really decent and (in my opinion) good looking pair of kneepads are the type that they sell at Home Depot for tile setters and the like. The ones I saw are called Monster and they are soft black rubber with a velcro back. They are extremely comfortable and they look pretty damn good, with a futuristic (Madmax style) look to them on the design of the knee. Just a suggestion as they are only about $20-$30 and will last forever.
