Is anyone going to the Hunington Beach CA Super Seven World Series in March? I'm going and was wondering if anyone has been to it and can tell me what it is like. I heard it is literally on the beach.

I wish I could go, but I can't miss anymore school. If I miss two more days of school, then I repeat the year.

Yeah, big problem. I wanted to go so bad. It would've been the first major tournament I've ever seen live.

yeah thats a bummer. This will be the first time i see pros live. I'm going for free to that, then like a few weeks after the store by my house is having its official grand opening. The guy who owns it is best friends with the owner of dye. everything there is cheap so on the opening it will be even cheaper and keely watson and a lot of the dye sponsored teams will be there.

I personally thought it was better when they played on the sand. Harder? Yes. Bad for the markers and hoppers? You betcha, but it was hella fun to watch.

I don't know what you're talking about, watching people play on turf > sand. Unfortunatly I haven't had the oppurtunity to play on either.
Any of you guys going to NPPL Denver this year? I believe the date's set for June 20-22 right now, I'm 90% sure that I'll be there.

I wish I would be going, but it's a rather expensive plane ticket out and back, along with the hotel room and tech class.
Besides, there's a dive expo going on that weekend that I don't want to miss.

I hate to bring this too far off-topic but, if you guys can't afford the trip to Florida, come to the IAO in Pennsylvania. Sure it's not as good, but I'll be there!!!!!

only at some booths...not everyone discounts, see evil and dye and proto, they still charge extreme amounts of money, but rarely does any place charge sales tax....

Your parents don't trust your uncle? He's both a brother and brother in law.
You have to get a hotel. Not just parking. They get money for repairs on gats too.

O.K. for those that will be going. Entrance is free. Parking they will charge you for. If you want Reserved Seating in the grandstands setup those tickets are for sale for cheap money.
Most of the time you can find seats anyways. But if you want a guaranteed seat for the games, then it's gonna cost you.
Great view from the Pier and that's free.
Get there early for parking though or plan on doing some walking.

Ah, the tourney was great. I got so much free stuff. Although I didn't manage to watch the Finals(Stands were too full), I watched a lot of games. It was great fun. I think I'll be going to San Diego as well...
Homer
03-20-2005, 06:07 PM
They're still going on. I'm watching them now.
It looks like a good event. And Dynasty and XSV are tied one game each in the Finals.
WOW. The webcam wasn't perfectly clear. But Sinful just won a 2 on 5. They forgot about a guy who shot 4 of them:D
Homer

03-28-2005, 06:50 AM
it was awesome if you couldnt see in the stands go back to the otherside of the field and watch in the players area. thats where everyone was. get front row seats to the snake.
