Has any counted the amount of shot you get on an ion with a 47/3k tank? Any ideas on how many? I know the websites talk about the 68/45k but nothing smaller.

All electro markers are essentially low pressure markers. You should use a high pressure tank though, just better and you can easily switch from other markers to other markers.

LP Crossfire tanks are supposed to provide enough flow to power the ion, dunno about others. This might be a trap.

Trust me, just stick with a high pressure tank and let your regulator do what it's designed to do.

Okay, now let's get back on track. Anybody know how many shots you can get off a 47/3000 tank on an Ion?

47ci 3000 psi = About 470-550 SHOTS.

Yeah except the Ion is advertised to shoot between 1000-1400 shots per 68/45. the average on a 68/45 is around 1080 or so. The Ion is supposed to get better than average efficiency and might get almost 650 shots off of a 47/3000 at best. It might get 450-490 at worst. I've never shot an Ion, this is all information I have gotten from reviews and the advertisements.

What about a 68ci scuba fill? It's all I can really get here.

I think I figured about 1055 off a 3100 fill (something near that, I'm merely trying to remember my figures). I'd say conservatively, you'll get 750-850 out of one.
