I was wondering what the best tourney gun for under $600? I also was wondering if I could play in a tournament with a JT 4.0 Excellerator or a Piranaha STS VF G3?:confused:

you can play in any tournament with any gun. In fact, i suggest that before you buy a more expensive gun, that you play in the tourny with the 4.0 or STS just to get the feel of things. You probably aren't gonna win your first tourny (well, you might i guess), so you really need to just focus on having fun. Remember, it only takes one ball to tag a person out.

like he said any gun can be a touny gun, imo start with the jt or sts and work your self up to "better gun"

Bushmasters are under 600 bux
so are cockers

whice are both "good" tourney guns

The best marker for tourneys is one that you are very comfortable with, doesnt matter if you have a cocker, spyder, mag, tippmann, or angel you just have to be comfortable with your marker. Get a high end barrel and your set, a bigshot isnt exactly high end but it works great.

For under $600, an Impulse, bushmaster, or cocker would be the best. Feel is very important though. Try some different guns if you can.

a cocker

2k2 cocker- 340
9v revvy- 40
Dye excel-40
68/3000 ACI nitro tank-180
drop forward-30

total=630

and you can put on other stuff later, new neumatics,bolts,barrels, ect.

THE BEST TOURNEY GUN IS the one that you are most comfortable with . . . when on the field the last thing you want to worry about is your marker you want to be albe to focus on the game. what posistion are you going to be playing? you CAN play in a tourney with any gun you want, but if you have the money for a quality tourney gun and you want to be as competitive as possibe you will want a higher end gun than a JT or pirahnah. it is important to know what kind of player you are going to be, if you let me/us know we can help you more . . .
