Removing C-clips

OK how do you get the C-clips off? Im trying to get my blade trigger on.

This is one of those " Ican do it in a few seconds, but can't realy explain it" type of things. Basicly, you need to find a way to put pressure on both sides of the "C" at the same time. One way this can be done is taking a pair of neddle nose plyers, holding them very near the tip and spreading the pions of the plyiers so they are about 3/16" apart. now push on the ends of the c-clips to slid them off the shaft. The "pushing" motion is across the shat-- that is parell to the frame of the gun.

We do this so often that i cheat. I took a flat head screw driver, and used a rat tail file to file a 1/2 round (about 3/16 in diamenter) in the front of the blade. (then i pollised up the blade so it wouldn't hurt the finish on the gun.) this little dodad lets me get those peaky little c-clips off in about 3 seconds flat, and I can place my finger on top of the shaft so they don't go flying across the room.

I always tell fokes-- figure 5 min to get the frame off the gun, about 30 sec to get the c-clips off, about 45 min to find the c-clip that went flying across the room, and about 10 min to adjust the trigger and reassemble the gun <G>

How do u adjust the blade trigger?

Can it be any shorter than what u sent me FOM?

Hey, if you lose a c-clip, my ACE hardware sells them so they all probably do

The blde can be VERY short and very light. However, you don't want to adjust it TOO close at first. the lever switch will devolpe a "set" and if you set the trigger up too tight right off the bat, you will be shooting along fine thatn suddenly that gun won't fire when you pull the trigger. Not hard to fix- just adust the allen screws (the Balde uses 1.5mm allen wrench) but if it happen in the middle of a game you are dead meat.

So after you mount the trigger, use it for a while, wait until you have 4-5 cases thru the gun before you try to meke is super tight.

i got my blade on but i dont have the allen key to adjust it yet and my trigger isnt adjusted right to hit the microswitch... :(
