Hello, i am using a CP reg with my Impulse and i don't find it all that constant. At my local field, i am not allowed to shoot more than 280 fps. When i chrono my gun, i always shoot around 259 to 281 fps. It's a big gap of 22 fps. :(
When i use my stock Max-Flo, i get shots like 275,275,274,276.
I've used the CP reg for at least 10 000 shots already, so it's prolly broken in. I've cleaned it recently and it's still inconsistant.
What can i do?

gun internals, lpr and pressure settings, what are they?

Why did you get the CP reg if your Max-Flo is shooting +-2?
Don't fix something that's not broken.
You should try this #. (480)539-4820. Or you get another one for free.

Not sure if you can sweet spot regs for Imps, but try it. (I'm a 'Cocker guy)

my approach to fix any problem in life is to whack it with a hammer.i can not accept any responsibility for any damage caused by the use of a hammer. may void warranty. contact manufacturer for details

wordf0o: Thx for the number, i'll try to give them a call. But since you guys asked, my input pressure is 132, my dwell is at 5.5 ms and my lpr, i don't know. :P
The reason why i changed reg is because the CP reg looks nicer and is lighter as well.

you will probably get better consistancy with an input of 160-170psi and a lower dwell. you would also get much better efficiancy. just a thought.

Oh really?
I've always thought that the lower the psi, the better. :|
I'll give that a try next time i play.

yeah lots of people think that. i could give you the physics explanation, but that would take a while. just take my word on it. or talk to toothepastedog or another impulse fanatic. they can tell you. and i've heard cp is pretty consistant, like +/- 3fps. and yeah, alot smaller and lighter than a maxflo. good luck
