Tippmann Velocity!!!!

How many turns do you turn your velocity screw out to get a 250-300 velocity? :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:

I would think somewhere from 1+3/4 to 2+1/2 turns from the tightened position. I'm not sure though, as a chrono would give you an accurate reading, though I've read you don't have one. You may want to try going to the pbreview.com chat and asking - some very knowledgeable and informative people there.

I was testing my velocity today, and 2+1/2 turns is a little fast. I am at about 2+1/4 - 1/3 turns out, and the balls are flying straight for a good distance. I'll check to make sure, of course, before playing.

If it's a new gun out of the box it should be in the 290's. Tippmann puts about 40 shots through every gun before they are boxed and shipped. When they do this the velocity is also checked. But your best bet would be to go to your local store of field and have it checked.

Our rule of thumb for our tippy's is 2 and 1/2 turns. That's just for ours. I think it sets it a 275-280 fps. Right around there. I was playing in a tourny with CO2 with that setting and had a 10 fps spike so it was good i had it set low. Find a setting you like and remember it. Or gta chronograph tht's good.
