Hello, I am sry if this is a major newby question, but I gots to ask it. I am working on my skills in speedball (been playin woodsball for some time now) and there is one thing I am stuck on. I understand that it is vital to be able to shoot with both hands in speedball (I am a righty) however I am having alot of trouble walking the trigger from my left hand. I can usually getg up to around 15-16 bps on my cocker wit my right, but only like an embarrising 5 bps on my left. Do you guys have any tips on running up my left handed skill, I know, I know, common sense, practice with my left hand, I have been doing that, and will keep on doing that, but if you guys have any other tips, please share!
Thanks a bunch!

i can shoot as fast or faster on my left than my right and im right handed. but my right hand is mesed up from walking on my spyder...its different than a dm4 or other highend gun. but ya im fast on either. It is good to be able to do it wit both hands.

^^^^ you know, for a mid 04 your not very helpful:eyes:.
anyway, if you can't walk left, practice practice practice. whenever you find yourself walking right, switch and walk left. do this wherever you go, like how the greatest basketball players are given a ball when they are 3 and told to take it with them wherever they go. so just keep practicing. but if you need a quick fix i find this works well. when shooting left grab the grip with your left hand like so:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v695/lri2x97/100_0484.jpg
then shoot with your right fingers like so:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v695/lri2x97/100_0485.jpg
that should keep your profile relativley low and increase speed to your right hand's speed;)

I have the same delima. So I don't switch, well kinda. I keep my front hand in place, rest my tank on my left forarm and shoot. Just make sure to not stick out your left elbow.
I usualy only shoot left handed if I absolutly have to, but patheticaly slow. So I came up with the cross hand idea. Sounds lame but it works.

play the right tape every time you paintball so you pretty much force yourself to shoot left handed.

Somehow I walk faster with my left hand than my right. I'm right handed mind you.

One problem with that. None of us can bring a paintball gun everywhere we go. ;)

I can only shoot 9bps with my left hand :(. But I always switch anyway... why? Because its MUCH easier to wrap and play tight on the left side of your bunker, with your left hand.

i would just always practice shooting when u r around ur house using ur PB gun. at school use a pen or just tap on stuff.

i meant walk left instead of right on various objects, pen/desk ect. when you find yourself using your right hand, switch and use your left:P

thank god i play bass right handed and im left handed...im actually faster right handed because of it, though i cant superman with the gun in my right hand and sliding is awkward with it in my right. it still works out though cus when i run to the left tape the gun is in my left hand and then i hit the bunkers and im shooting cross field with my right hand so im ripping, then when i do my run throughs i do it holding it lefty and im alot more accurate.

except that will put you in a really weird position. usually the right hand supports the gun via the forgrip, not walking. may be a little harder to aim, but whatever works for you

watch how you normally hold your marker...then mimic that exact while holding the marker left handed...
heres a little tip figure out which of your eyes is the dominant then practice running drills using the weaker one...won't take long but you'll see improvement faster than you'll think

you close one eye when aiming?

no i keep both open
it's just a drill a few local field guys told me to try well it works just try it while brushing your teeth with just your weak eye open it definately is different...when i first heard this i thought the guy was nuts but since i tried it i have noticed a gain on my left handed walking

i can pull a good 14-15 with my left but only 12 with my right and im a righty.
anyway, work on form a lot. try to not let your hand spaz out too much and keep some stability. i find that pulling with just the tips of my fingers is a little faster. if you still cant get it then hold the gat with your left hand and walk with the right. as long as you can keep it stable it works.
