I just bought a q-lock for my BKO and i cant get my stock feedneck off. I tried a strap wrench but its loc-tited on. im afraid to heat it up because im not sure if it'll mess up the anno or something. So what should I do or what did you guys do to get yours off?

heat it up with a hair dryer. then use a strap wrentch. the guy at the store just used his bare hands and nothing else to get mine off

I just tried taking my Halo out. Got that feedneck out pretty quick.

I just tried the blowdryer and strap wrench method and the strap wrench just slid around the feed neck.

If you have a loader that needs to be sanded throw that thing in there, but spin it while you do it...if that makes sense. When its all the way in, spin in in the opposite direction. If the fit in the feedneck is tight enough, the feedneck should go with the loader.

I have an egg and I've heard about the necks cracking from doing that. But that might have just been a one time thing.

I did it with my Halo, it didn't crack.

but the halo and egg are built differently.

[color=green]Yea, just try what Razer said. My feedneck unscrewed all the time when I had my cocker and it never cracked.

i tried it and the hopper just spun around in the feed neck. i cant think of anything else that will work.

well if your replacing the feedneck you could just use a clamping wrench...it will get it off no prob but it will have a few scratches..if you dont want the scratches you could wrap duct tape around the feedneck then use the clamping wrench..
