I dont recommend the elcd trgger frame thing. There is no need. It has different firing modes which you can only use in pro tournaments. shot counter, pointless, get a clear hopper, has a timer, wear a watch! dunno about anything else. seems like a waste. The nitrogen tank...hmmm...i have an se with co2 which has an expansion chamber, so all nitrogen will do is lower the weight of you gun and shoot at a more consistent velocity, both good things. but get a 4+1 harness axpaintball.com plus tubes and 400 paint for 27 anda remote and your set with the weight. Those two upgrades, nitro and elcd will prob set you back about 400+ depending on the size. I would get a boomstick barrel-not titanium 180 one, too light!-and the mabey the nitro, and you still have bout 100 dolars left for...lets see...a sight mabey, medium grade sight and a boomie would be sweet. mabey a revie too. go nuts. basically, there are better things than an elcd. 200 can go a long way...

if your thinkin of playing tournoments, id go elcd. it lets you at least get close to the rof capacities of eodays electros. you may want to think about an aka body. vert veed and the customization capabilities of that thing is awsome. although, if you are going to get an aka, youll want to sell your shutter. it needs a new striker and velocity adjuster. if your not at low pressure, get that first.
I would also not reccomend the ELCD. They do not work good on Spyders because of the pneumatic factor :(

The ELCD, i would not recommend for th spyder. THe Spyder is a blow back gun, and slapping an Electric frame will not make it a super gun. I think it's a waste of money. I wouuld never put a grip frame on a gun that costs more than teh gun itself..The Spyder was not meant for 12 bps..and after a while the internals will wear out extremely quickly due to overwork.

sell your shutter and get a cocker

drop the elcd off your list and add a new barrel, unless you already got one. Drop forwards are awesome, I just got a custom one put on my gun and it is sweet.

dont get elcd. it doesnt work with the shutter. u shoulda just gotten a tl plus they are way more upgradable and the same thing as a shutter just 50-70 bux less

I guess the elcd is off the list.
I am getting a newbarrel really soon.
even thought it says I got a newbarrel in my signature.
So in the summer for my birthday I probley would get a nouther new barrel (you decide) nitro tank.
Hey In a proshop I saw a nitro tang with a thing that looks like a drop foward on it..??? Is that a dropfoward. But it was huge.and metal I thing.
and I will get paint and a new hopper.
DAMN at the field that I played pball on thursday I lost 2 of my speed pods then I lokked on the field and found nuting then the ref said some 1 found one of them and he told me to look acroos from him and it wasent there.
So I will get 2 newones this week.
And I do have a remote.
I rather get a expanshion chamber.
What kind should I get?

i heard the ELCD's really tear up your gun, if spyders were meant to run full auto, theyd come that way. Its like sowing extra legs on to sheep so they can run faster.
p.s- i have the coolest analogies

Pfff! There's no way in hell that an eLCD will work for some Spyders and not the Shutter. If people bought Benchmark frames, it'll fit all Spyders. If people bought eLCD frames, and it fits one Spyders, why the hell wouldn't it fit all? Next time you should say things that you know... Also, a Spyder can run at 12bps fine. Why wouldn't it? Also, why's it a waste of money? Your Spyder becomes a true electronic gun. Plus how can you disagree? Hell, Angels have an electronic frame. If you don't call a Spyder an electronic gun with an eLCD, you can't call an Angel an electronic gun for the reason that they don't magically "zap" the paintballs out.

I think that was a cradle you saw on the nitro tank, or a regulator, not sure...

Yeah I think it was an cradle it was a beast .
Looked like it weighed a lot but I dought it

okay....this is why spyders werent meant to be electro:
1. the parts are not designed for such heavy use and rapid firing
2. it just cant stand all that friction and pressure
3. blowbacks make it hard to shoot fast without breaking balls....

Responses by number
1. Well, they're metal parts are they not? I'm sure other guns use metal parts in them too... So far I've shot rapidly, not over 10bps, but quite rapidly and no problem has occured
2. Friction? So now you're saying that blowbacks are the only guns that have friction? Hell, Angels have more friction in the moving of the bolt. Why? Because their bolts fit perfectly in there, no extra slop. Pressure? Pressure of what?
3. Blowbacks? How so? Notice that if you put in a vertical feed, that they'll feed about as fast as any other electronic vertical feed gun...
Any other reasons?

i cant belive u guys dont like the elcd. yah u have to buy a new stricker every 2 years but ehat thats like. 5$? and, and elcd works fine on a shutter. i have one myself. a spyder has no more friction thn an angel, if u use a derlin bolt. Granted LP operation helps out electric blowbacks a lot but it doesnt mean that the elcd sucks, just because 1 preson said so. Im not saying it is even comparable to a busy or imp. (although i like the elcd trigger better than that on a bushy). Sorry if i have offended any1 but im in a bad mood.

I don't even think you have to replace the striker every 2 years. Also, strikers are more around the price of $30... Also, people have said that their eLCD's have been compared to Angels and their trigger pulls are just a bit longer with a bit more pressure needed. However, that's still nice, considering you paid less.

ever hear of timing? and the angels are built with far better craftmanship. All of the parts in the angel move when the should and in a precise manner that spyders cannot acheive. Again and again you try to make spyders better than they are, you can turn lead into silver, but not into gold

preach it richy....dats exactly wat i was talking about..spyders werent made to shoot full auto or watever..or even at really really fast rates

How fast is really really fast?
Intruder
03-29-2001, 11:33 AM
Really fast would be if you could get the gun up to 10-12 balls a sec. I know some of you can do more, but that is really fast for me.

Richy_C: Ok, you're talking about a hole different subject now. I wasn't talking about the craftsmenship, I was talking about friction. Yes, Angels are OBVIOUSLY built of higher quality as their parts fit in without any slop. However, some person, maybe you, said that Spyder parts can't take the friction. Now what's going to take more friction? A bolt with slop or a bolt that has no space to move around?
