I am going to get a J & J Ceramic barrel to go on my spyder Fenix ACS. I am having problems deciding between a 16'' barrel and a 14'' barrel. I was wondering what one would be better, and what difference will this 2'' makehappen advantage wise, and disadvantage wise. accuracy? power? both are the same price, and I am going to use a crossfire air system 68/4500, preset at 800psi, if that makes any difference.

14'', 16 starts slowing your ball down more. although a lot of people use a 16'', if you play mostly speedball and stuff get 14, maybe even 12. For woods and stuff 16 would be ok but still, 14'' should be a little better.

Airball? 16". Hyperball? 16". Woodsball? 16".

The only time I would reccomend a shorter barrel would be when you play nothing but old school speedball (spools and such), in which case I would reccomend a 14" barrel.

Like in many stickies...the 14 incher would probably be ur best bet. Like all the intelligent people who know this stuff about barrels (the stuff behind it) they say that the acceleration is just the first 6-10 inches...everything afterward slows the ball down. A ball going 300 fps doesn't go any farther with a longer barrel...it may even shorten the distance. From my opinion, having a 14 inch is the perfect length
