If you have a high pressure tank on a tippmann a-5, can you get a low pressure reg to go with it? or do u have to get a high pressure reg like a palmers stablizer?

Depends whether or not you have a Low Pressure Kit.

A Stabilizer would be an excellent choice either way.

crossfire makes good regs on their tanks already you shouldnt really need anything else altho you could get a reg but its not needed. And you dont need the lp kit to use nitro effectively it just cycles the gun at a a lower pressure so you really dont need it imo

on the reviews people were saying better accuracy and better efficency i can understand the second one but not the first what do you think?

You really dont even have to get a secondary reg, but if you must you will need a high pressure reg. The tank should have a reg on it keeping the pressure consistent. You will only be able to drop your PSI down to anywhere from 650-750 psi, which really isnt that necessary. It may save a small amount of air, but not much.

it doesnt have to necessarily be more efficient just because it operates at a low pressure. Actually the LP kit works by using a weaker cup seal spring in the valve and a larger volume of air by using the chamber that you will see in front of the trigger on guns w/ LPKs. I think it uses a lighter hammer too.

It can decrease recoil some create a smoother cycle, but it still uses a bit of air if not setup properly.

The reason LP inline reg is not good for a stock (hp) tippmann is this:

Youre guns valve needs ~800psi to operate properly because of your valves internal design, and your reg may be adjustable from 0-600psi. How are you going to get your guns valve to cycle properly when it is being starved for air.

Edit: i reread your post and i think your talking about how does the lp kit do those 2 things, well yeah what he said bu non the less whoever is wondering about how nitro makes you more accurate look below.

well it works like this better consistincy in turn results in better accuracy because rather than shooting 280fps then 280 then 300 etc, with nitro youll shoot 20, 283, 282 etc. Now this will make your balls land on top of each other, get it rahter tahn go farther and then shorter than in between they are shot at the same or close to the same fps each time.
