Just becuase you get a Gen2 doesnt mean you will get a HE bolt. Most Gen2 markers that are being sold right now are without the HE bolt kits.
The only way to determine if the marker has a HE bolt kit is to open it up. There is no way to determine if a Gen2 FS has the HE kit unless you look at the internal parts. The Gen2 FS w/o HE kit and the Gen2 w/ HE kit look identical from the outside.
You might want to consider the 05FS. It has come down in price with the release of the FSP and this might be a better choice for you. All 05 FS have the HE Kit installed in them already.

Correct me if I'm wrong:
Gen1 FS has 90 frame and the ugly drop
Gen2 FS has a 45 frame and a rail and on/off combo

Gen 1
90* frame
Eye cover colored same as rear of gun
PDS on/off
Board in frame w/ battery
Drop
No HE Kit unless included via a free voucher
Gen2
45* frame
Eye covers black
1 PWR switch
board is above frame
No Drop
Newer electronics
No HE Kit unless included via a free voucher
05
New Milling
HE Kit
Newer electronics
More similar to an O4 Gen 2
With the HE kit, an 04 Gen 2 will have almost the exact same performance as an 05. It just depends on how much you enjoy bragging about owning the newest gun of the lineup so.......

04 Gen 2 (they say their Gen 1's on the phone and in the pic, but I got a Gen 2 from them, so I think they're confused.) for $449 with a voucher for a free HE Kit upgarde by the pros at ICD. What more could you ask for!?

So the Generation 1 has a drop...on ebay the ones for like 495 to 525 dollars have no drop, im guessing thats the gen 2 ? which Gen do you think is better ?

The Gen 2's have newer electronics, (thicker wires maybe?) other than that it's pretty much personal preference as to what style frame you want, anno, and rail or drop. Personally I like the Gen 2's better because they have the 45* frame, and the peice of mind that you atleast have somewhat newer electronics. Just make sure you get the HE kit.

So you got the Gen 2 from that conneticut place ? Did yours come w/ the HE kit? if not how much do they cost ?

Yes, that is where I got it, I was suprised when I recieved it because they said they sold Gen 1's on the phone, but i think they thought all 04's were gen 1 and all 05's are gen 2's. My gun IS a Gen 2, and I verified this specifically with ICd over the phone. Alot of places are confused when it comes to ICD. The gun was $449 +$16 shipping (arrived in KY in 2 days) like I said, and it came with a certificate for a FREE 05 bolt upgrade which is the same exact thing as the HE kit. ICD verified this. Normally the upgrade after installation is $110. When your gun arrives from CT paintball, in the box there is a slip of paper from ICD that says Send this voucher and your gun to ICD for the free HE kit and installation. A $110 value. If anyone has questions concerning HE kit details and prices PM me.
