I'm looking for a cp onepeice for around 35 and I found it on xpaintball.com for 30 but it is 40 for the 14" and 30 for the 16". How much of an idiot would i look like and how much preformance would I lose going with the 16". I mostly play speedball so I know the 14" is better but for ten bucks . . .

2 inches wont make too much of a difference, it would add a tad more friction and you would have a tad less efficiency. If, however, you have your heart set on a 14", $8 doesn't make that much of a difference when you pay $15 for a bag of paint.

Actually, speedballers are going to recommend a 16", not 14". That's because with a 16", you can push into an air bunker more. Like gran said, you get a tad less efficiency, but it's probably better for you. Unless for some reason it's just way too big for your liking.

get a tapemeasurer and put up to where your screw the barrel in on your gun. see how long 16'' sticks out on your gun. I personally think its rather long. i just got a 14'' today and its nice but looks quite a bit different than the 12'' i had. measure it and see what you like. remember 16'' is also longer when moving around so you gotta be more careful when snap shooting on hard surface bunkers not to hit the bunkers and scratch up your barrel and stuff. I just mean you wont be able to turn around as fast with a longer barrel.

You see what you like though;)

Like the sticky says the first 8" matter and after that the rest usually is ported...it all comes down to what type of games you play...

Just get whatever you would feel comfortable with. Pro's use 10inch to 16inch barrels so you won't notice a huge difference in performance. Personally I think the 16inch is a little too long but I like to push in the airball bunker a little with my barrel so I use a 14 inch.

You don't want it to long because if you play like airball you don't want the barrel and close combat or else the barrel will get in the way everytime your trying to make a move...
