This eBay seller is selling Ion's for $200 to be shipped on May 12th. What do ya think? Is it legit?
Here's the link to the eBay auction:

Considering he's advertising them for SIGNIFICANTLY below MAP, he's subject to his SP account being terminated.
Sounds a little sketchy to me, especially when he's telling you you'll be waiting for about 2 months for one.
One final thing....SP doesn't give "expected ship dates", at least not to me. At this point, I've been told numerous times that "you'll get them when you get them just like everyone else" and that's all.
Sounds like a farce to me.

Although the guy does have remarkable feedback. It's like 99.2% out of 350 feedbacks. I actually emailed that guy and asked him what the deal was. He said it was for the actual gun but that you would not get it until like the end of May.
I'm not sure. It's really weird, but he does have a clean record.

Assuming it's legit, maybe Smart Parts plans to remove the MAP (I guess it stands for Minimum Advertised Price?) in May.
I did notice that ratpb.com and punisherspb.com have an endless supply of Ion's while everone else seems to be out of stock. Maybe they have some sort of partnership with Smart Parts. Then, once demand cools down (by May) they will remove the MAP and sell openly to all dealers. I am just speculating here.
As for the deal above I think it's sounds like a gamble. However, sometimes gamblers win.

YAHTZEE!!!!
Whoopss sorry wrong board.....
Not endless.... and add two more to the list
Pev's paintball and AtomiX have them in stock. Why do these 4 companies have the Ion when others don't? Easy we went to the freaking factory and built them our selves!
Smart Parts was only able to pump out about 200 per day when I was there. The four of us assembled 60 in one day... then test fired them the next with about 5% failure rate (1 bad guage, 1 bad solenoid, 1 improperly assembled reg)
Testing was fun! Between Goose and myself, we shot all 60 guns, set the electronics, and set the velocities in a couple hours!
