Why is this a poll? Anyway, I would like to voice my opinion on Kingman's gimmicks.
To attract newbies to the sport, Kingman always comes up with a new gimmick.
Zebra rear-cocking bolt: This is not a new innovation at all, it's just covered with stripes!
Vision receiver: Just a name for an annodized Shutter body.
Mini-expansion chamber: From what I hear, the "mini expansion chamber" is just a small gas thru foregrip. Even if it were real, it goes after the fake "mini reg" which would theoretically mess up the regulated air (if the reg was real, though).
Java edition: Whoopdee-doo. A new color. Let's call it Java and sell it for $30 more!
Sorry, had to get that off my chest. I don't mean to flame anyone but I just don't like Kingman's bad marketing strategies.
To answer your question, I don't know where to get the Xtra for a cheaper price than that. It's basically a TL+ with a center feed though (of course).

o good, we havent heard that 700 times yet... o wait yes we have. All kingman is doing is going for fancy looking higher-end blowbacks like the shutter xtra and se. they are all nice looking stock guns. if youre really into modifying your gun dont bother getting the fancy stock guns. tl's and compacts are great "upgrade" guns. what i mean is that there are not really many crud parts you will end up replacing that didnt work all that great stock anyway. dont expect the xtra to be on too many sites this recently though. kingman's gettin their act together and they got rid of the gauge, VERTICAL FEED, but that drop forward is a POS

Sorry about that but I just had to get that off my chest. :D Anyway, I think the Xtra would be a great project Spyder because it comes stock with center feed and it looks sort of cool too.

Try paintball-online or bbtpaintball or someplace like that, i haven't checked those sites yet. Instead of getting other people to do the research for you, go to some sites and look for yourself!

i have a compact and u can get like a million ups for it to make it better than a shutter for the same price. is it really worht it to get an extra? all it is is a tl plus that looks cool. thats all crap any way.

Vertical feed is the main gimmick of the Ztra, if i were starting now, im sure id get one, that or a g3 pro, thatd be pretty kool

Well, I'd get the Xtra over the Piranha Pro, for the reason that it's cheaper. :) The Piranha Pro is somewhere along the lines of $200+. By the way, why IS this a poll? The two things you can vote for are the same... ???? and ????

I don't know about the xtra. I mean all it is is a TL+ that is a vertical feed. To me the gun just doesn't look all that good for $170. I sold my TL+ today and ordered a Piranha EXT PRO G3. Now that is a nice lookin gun and it has a bunch of mods already done like a turbo valve and a reg. What more could you ask for?

A reg that works wonders with CO2, a high flowing vertical adapter, a great drop forward, a Smart Parts Freak kit, a blue to silver fade anodized body, a Centerflag Dynaflow 114ci/4500psi, DYE Microgauges, a KAPP Drop Zone II, etc., etc. That's what I could ask for. :D A TL+ with a vertical feed is very good, what do you mean "all it is is a TL+ that is a vertical feed"? Vertical feed is awesome! Personally, I love my straightfeed the way it is though. :) For $170, that's EXCELLENT!!! I'm sure you paid much more for your G3, how much did you pay?

All im saying is that spyder comes out with crappy gimmics to sell the exact gun with a few minor mods. If I were spyder I would sell a Compact 2000 with a vertical feed for what they are selling them now (around $100). Then add whatever mods you want for less money. Another thing i dont like about the xtra is it has no raised sight rail. It looks weird with the side sites. Might just be me though. The piranha only cost me around $250 which is $50 more than I paid for my TL+ but it looks cooler and has better mods.

From what I heard, the Xtra is only like $169.99. That's an $80 difference. With that money, you could get a nice aftermarket barrel. And with a good paint match, it'll shoot more accurately than stock G3's. Or with that money, you could also get a Vigilante, a better regulator than the PE from what I know.

How can you compare something that is not even out yet. Im basing my coments on looks and stock mods while you're basing your comments on performance. Have you shot a G3? They're not even out yet so how can you say that the xtra is better than a marker you have never touched. Im not doggin on spyders cause I had one. Have you even shot an xtra? Before you dog a gun you may want to shoot it first. You may even think the G3's is nicer than the xtra. They already looks better. Plus all of the chaeper G3's have a vertical feed(except the STS) and are not nearly as expensive as the Xtra. I think the cheapest Vertical feed that is basically a compact 2000 is around $110-120. So Put an aftermarket barrel or reg on that and spend what you would have on a stock Xtra and have a better gun. Also in my opinion the EXT PRO G3 looks better. So im sorry if I pissed anyone off by saying that I don't like the way the xtra looks. Its only an opinion.

Everyone is basing their opinions on looks, when it comes out and some people have them, then we will know which one is better.

I can judge just by experience. Looks? Everyone's gonna have their own opinions, don't expect one to overwhelm the other. Yes, you are correct, I AM basing my comments on performance. I'm gonna bet everything that I've got that their stock barrel with a good paint match ain't gonna shoot better than a CP or Lapco barrel with a good paint match. It's completely expected, stock "entry level" guns just don't come with any good barrels. Have I ever shot an Xtra? No, but again, from experience I'll know the general ideas and as to how it'll work. Personally, I can bet that their stock barrels will blow too. It's just completely retarded to say that one entry level marker's stock barrel will be better than the other. No entry level marker really has a good stock barrel. "Doggin'"? Do you mean by flaming? If you are, I am, by all means, not saying that the G3's are bad. I'm just saying that I'd go for the Xtra instead of the G3 Pro because it's cheaper. Sure, the VTL G3's got a vertical feed, but are you sure it's only $10 more than the other VTL's? I doubt it, vertical feed bodies cost anywhere from $60-$125, I don't think PMI would add the vertical feed body for only $10 more... Also, you could also get a Java Compact 2000 for $10 more than the Compact 2000. They look better than the G3 VTL IMO, but they have a powerfeed. Most people would rather have a vertical feed, but sometimes there's the chance of blowback from vertical feed bodies without vents. Powerfeeds'll feed real well, some vertical feeds will, some will not. If you don't have a drill, get a Java Compact 2000. If you do have a drill, get the Spyder Xtra or one of the G3's.

Since vertical bodies are soooo much more expensive than powerfeed then why is spyder selling the xtra for $170 which is about the same as the TL+ when it was released. Since it's vertical feed you're saying it should be $60-125 more than what they are selling it for. Why isnt it then? It cost the same as the TL+ which is powerfeed. Which apperently means that PMI can sell a vertical feed for the same as a powerfeed. Also the BL VF G3s come in different colors which means you don't have to spend the extra $10 on the Java edition spyder compact 2000 plus you get the vertical feed for about the same price.

the xtra is kinda cool. i figure kingman took the shutter and said, we have too much worthless stuff on it so lets refine the design. Although if i was still beginnning id go with a pirahna G3 BL vertical feed, or get an akalmp bod and upgrade the hell outa it.
