Has anybody heard anything about new guns from Tippmann?

I've seen rumors about a Tippmann 2000 coming out and maybe a few other guns? I read that the Tippmann 2000 will be an entry level electro? Does ANYBODY know ANYTHING about this???

I doubt that they are. I mean, think about it. If they made an electronic marker, who would buy it? Tippmann is a great company in all aspects, but if they are making an electro, they obviously didn't take business school courses very long. Think about it, and you'll get what I'm saying. I guarantee that if they do make an electro 'gun, it won't sell worth a damn.

I heard something, don't quote me, that tippmann will be coming out with a "tournament" quality gun. I think i heard electro, i'm not sure. I thought this was also going to be based on the model 98 body too. that's all i've heard, ill see what else i can find. And paintballerx, it would sell. think before you speak. and entry level electro a cheap price. look at the em-1. it's not the best electro but it's cheaper than most of them out there. the shop i go to is selling the for 380 right now. compare that to an e-mag or a nice shocker, it's a deal. tippmann is competing in the low-price market and the electro might give them a shot in the middle range gun market.

Tippmann has probably made a lot of money off of their current line of products. Namely, the Model 98 Custom, flatline, and all of the available upgrades.

If they have made an abundance of money, then it does make sense for them to enter the electro-pneumatic market, seeing as they can afford to work very hard on this gun, and take the time and funding to test it and tweak it to "perfection". And upgrades will most likely be available.

Also, since they are not the first company to make an electronic marker, they are entering into a market that they may have learned much about, through other companies experiences.

All of this depending, of course, on whether or not the rumors are true. ;)

Rumors always seem to have some sort of truth behind them.
And i have heard plenty of them myself.

Has anyone actually just tried emailing Tippmann and simply asking them? or would that be too simple?

yup...its true. the Model2000 will be an electro running on CO2 or HPA. it has some elements fromt the model98 and pro-series guns. as well as some older concepts being remade. its due out in the first, maybe second quarter of this year. there may be another gun too...but thats a rumor so i will not place it here.
