I'm surprised no one has replied to this yet. Practically everyone I know buys their gear online. Online is definitely the way to go. I order almost all my gear online. Everything you see in my sig I got online. It all arrived in mint condition and on time, my cocker actually arrived 3 days early.
Sites will always send you what you order, unless they are out of stock. If they are they will contact you and let you know so you can choose to either wait for it or have them ship something else.
As far as wasting hundreds of dollars, you'll actually be wasting more money if you don't order online.
The only bad part about online shopping is the overwhelming anxiety of waiting for your cool stuff to arrive.

don't worry, they won't scam u. i'm guessing most ppl buy their paintball equip online because their local store rips u off big time. so anyway, don't freak out about this. give it a try. u won't be disappointed.

Don't use thepaintballstore.com. Granted I got everything from them that I ordered in a timely manner (Two weeks, I live in colombia with an APO adress). But the Collapsible Gas thru stock is impossible to use because the remote coil included came with a standard ASA male end. In order to use the sock I have to separate the ASA male pice and the quick disconnect piece, but that has been impossible so far. SO my stock is unusable. BTW the remote coil is 32*, any help would be nice

County Paintball (http://www.countypaintball.com) is the best. Online or local. I've spent probably close to $1000 on gear from them with no problems at all. Asking quesitions by e-mail sees a response usually within minutes... even after-hours. I can't give them high enough praise.

i've never ordered from County, but it sounds like they are quick and reliable. If there is one website that you should never order from if you dont like hassles and big pains in the ***, then that website has to be www.raven-paintball.com. I thought that a respectable paintball company like Raven would have great service if i ordered online, but i was wrong. I ordered 2 jerseys with lettering on them. It took 10 weeks and many angry phonecalls before they finally came. Then i looked at the back of the jerseys and one of the names was spelled wrong. so i called them again and they said that they'd send another one free of charge. that was about 10 months ago and i've never received anything yet, nor do i expect anything-I've totally given up on them. So, save yourself all the frustration and never order from Raven's website.

If you want lettered jersies I would recommend paintballgear.com (http://www.paintballgear.com). They can letter almost ANY jersey you want. The only problem is they charge like $20 extra for it. :|

I order most everything online, but I have become very wary of most paintball websites. Most of them are backordered and they have terrible customer service. I recommend www.g3pb.com paintballgear.com thematrixcenter.com shop4paintball.com
DO NOT by something from e-bay save for an angel or something high-end. There are a couple of other sites that I just can't thin kof right now that are reputable. Be careful. Honestly, so your homework on a site before you order from them unless you don't mind waiting for a shipment for a month.

Don't use Big boy toys...
bbtpaintball.com sucks. They sat on an order I sent them for 11 days. They don't answer email. The people that handle the phones are stupid and don't care if anyone does a good job. It's a second rate operation.

bbtpaintball does suck! my order was neglected and they wouldn't answer my e-mail either. they didn't even let me know that my items were back ordered.

i like www.paintballdiscounters.com best... paintball gear is always on backorder, in fact, it has been on backorder every time i've tried ordering from them. (4 times).

yes they are trust worthy. Most players order online cause local stores suck or they dont have any. some good places are Countypb.com and PBKingdom.com spell out PB as paintball, duh.

like freakimpulse and cyote (sp) said bbt paintball sucks. they don't tell you when your stuff is backordered and they didn't order one of my things once. they also sent me the wrong item. im never ordering from bbt again.
But www.pbgear.com is very good. there prices are a little high but still lower than most local stores but they have great service and they send everything on time.

I have bought every single piece of equipment I own, and every case of paint I've shot online, not only do you get MUCH cheaper prices but when buying paint I find it is fresher than my local stores.
However, you do have to be careful when buying online. Not that they will scam you or anything, but lots of times they screw around with you when out of stock.
I have bought from g3pb.com paintballgear.com skanline.com thepaintballstore.com countypaintball.com 888paintball.com and copaintball.com, I received everything I ordered but...
occasionally (and only certain places) when they are out of stock they tend not to tell you. I waited over 4 weeks from an order at skanline only to call them and they told me that they were out of stock and it would be in in one more week....:|
Most recently I bought 2 cases of PMI Premiums from paintballstore.com and since they were out of stock gave me a free "upgrade" to Diablo Blaze (costs $1 more).
Normally I wouldnt have a problem, but the fact that the blaze are slightly smaller bore they roll right out of my barrel, and if I want to return it, I'll miss my next game day.
So if you plan on buying anything online, get it LONG before you plan on going and keep in contact with the company to make sure its all good, but in terms of scams? I doubt that will ever happen.
If your lookin for a good place to buy equipment, I would highly recommend g3pb.com, they answer all your questions, and have virtually every aftermarket thing made. GREAT service, and they DO tell u when they are out of stock

bbtpaintball does suck :)
they don't tell you when they are out of stock and when my friend ordered a hammer kit, they told him it was out of stock so he cancelled the order only to receive it about an hour later...
and later they ended up charging him twice and sending a second one about a week after (even tho he had both recieved the hammer kit already AND told them to cancel the order)
Took a good while to clean up that mess and he had to spend about $5 on return shipping which they didn't credit him....bad customer service but decent catalog

All of our customers have been really pleased with the service www.unitedpaintball.com gives them. I know that I'm biased in that I work there, but I haven't for very long. I was a retail shopper a few months ago. In fact, I feel more like all of you than I feel like an industry "insider." That's why I'm more comfortable posting here than I am selling at trade shows.
We (myself and the people I play with) have had positive experiences with CountyPaintball, Paintball Gear, and 888Paintball. They have great prices and a large selection. I even send current customers to them if I know they have something that we don't or if they destroy our price. Also, most manufacturers are nice to deal with.
Our site works on offering both a unique selection and a unique way of presenting the selection. We try to educate our customers, and continue to do so long after they buy from us. All of the products in our Main Catalog have "Things to know" and an explanation of our (and our customers') experiences with the products. Aside from that, we also have our own product line that you can't get anywhere else.
Not to take anything away from any of the sites listed here, as I agree with all the posts I've read. I just wanted to throw UP in the mix too, as I work hard to serve you all.
Let me know what you all think.

One suggestion, order from an online company that is close to you. I live in St. Pete, Florida, and used to order from BBTPaintball in California. It took seven business days for my orders to arrive (I'm too cheap to pay for express shipping). Now i order from www.paintballgear.com in Illinois, and my stuff arrives in three business days, regular ground shipping.

Thanks for the in-depth feedback. If you're referring to the Photo Pricelist, then perhaps you missed the disclaimer stating that it's outdated. The prices are high because it's our old catalog from over a year ago. The selection is outdated on the Pricelist too. We spent so much time on the GHOST and on the Main Catalog that we haven't finished the Pricelist yet. I apologize for any inconvenience, but I assure you that once finished, the Pricelist prices will be similar to those found on the Main Catalog. That's also why the Pricelist products say "Inquire" rather than "Order."
Again, sorry for the confusion.

I would recommend online stores to anyone. www.e-paintballoutlet.com, www.pbgear.com and many others are good sites that I have delt with or friends have delt with, with no problems at all.

Well I asked for a Package back in november for christmas from www.lowpaintballprices.com (pirate paintball) and well i got the mask, 200 paintballs, and 12oz tank on christmas...dad said it arrived 4 days before xmas. Well the other package with the gun, hopper, squeegie, didnt arrive. Dad did a track and they both did arrive to moncton NB and then montreal then here. but the other package stayed in moncton, and well now its lost. So it was USPS's fault. Well dad called pirate and they send me another one and they added a bonus (drop forward with co2 gauge) nice guys. Well that was sent 2 1/2 weeks ago and we still did not recieve a call from the customs at the border. Actually dad is gonna call there in a min he said. So well the other package took 3 weeks to reach the border then 1 week to arrive. So I guess i'll write when it comes...hopefully it will.
Oh yeah Pirate offers free shipping.
