Right out of the gate, the BKO will be faster due to its electronics.

Cockers seem to be more air efficient, but that doesnt mean the BKO is bad on air. Both will get you through a game and then some.

I cant really comment on the reliability of the newer cockers, but im my experience, there is more things to play with and possibly mess up on a cocker.

For a BKO, all you need to do is learn how to adjust the regs, and you will be fine. Relube the regs after a long day of play and wipe off the bolt with a dry rag is all you really need to do in order to keep your BKO happy.

If you can wait, the '05 BKO will be much better. However, you should check out the B2K4. Right now, it's going for less than an '05 BKO is going to be.

You should get a BKO for theese reasons:

SPEED:The BKO is electronic so it will shooy waaaaaaaay faster

Effecency:They will have enough for 2-3 games

Relaibility: The BKO has less moving parts to mantain and has less things that con become out of time

Accuracy:This is the only time that Abko isnt better. But with a barrel it will be just as or better than a trilogy.

BUY A BKO ICD ROCKS

both guns will work well for you, don't worry about that, but I ask you to ignore the myths associated with cockers, they aren't more accurate, they DON'T break down like people say, and they ARE very reliable.

but in my honest opinion, cockers in general have had thier day. I have owned 2 (a 99 STO and 2k3 stock), they were fun for a while. But when it comes down to it ,they cost way to much for what you get, holds true for both mech and e-cockers.

take it from someone who has owned (and still does own) many cockers: 05BKO>any trilogy

period

the BKO is just a great marker for the price. the ion might also be something to look into

I would NEVER buy a trilogy.

BKO for sure. Timing is a bit of a pain w/ cockers, it's not hard to do, but it gets old. The BKO is faster and more upgradable. The Trilogy is a Uni-body design so the front block permanently is attached to the reciever which means no E-blades. Get a BKO and you will be much happier than if you had got an outdated mech walmart-esque cocker.

true, but they don't go down.......and there's also no wires to come loose, no batteries to die, no noids to blow ETC, but we know all that stuff goes down very rarely, just like the parts do in a cocker....very rarely... so you see, your claim can go both ways.....so please, don't bring the cocker reliablity issue into the debate.....it's been a myth for years already, only the early cockers had issues, and that early fault has haunted them till this day....

The fact is, the cances of somthing failing are less.

in 8 years of working heavily with cockers the only times ive ever seen a 3-way or any hose fail is when someone accidentaly put too much pressure on it with the LPR (like cranking the LPR adjuster down in an atempt to unstick a stuck LPR regulator seat)...

there's a hose that goes from the lpr to the noid in a bko too.....and 3 ways don't blow in the way a noid does.....and even if a 3-way o-ring does go, a fifty cent o-ring is a lot cheaper and easier to have on hand than a 60 dollar noid is.

but once again, failures are rare.....in BOTH guns
