i recently bought the spyder regulater 4 my compact. the instructions sya to run at 600-700 psi. many things that i have read say that they run their guns at 250-350 psi and i cant get the regulater down that low. only to about 400 psi. is their any real difference and what does psi do? i know that fps means feet per second. how do you increase the fps? the "velcoity ajuster" on my compact seems like it really does make any defference what so ever.

Lower pressure means a quieter gun with less recoil, and less ball breaks. To get your gun running 400 psi you're going to need a new main spring. I'm not entirely sure if a spyder will run at 250 psi (I dont think so, I could be wrong though), that's mostly the higher end pneumatic driven guns, rather than spring driven ones. Get a spring set, and put the softer spring on your valve and mainspring and you should be able to use lower pressure. And, if your velocity adjuster does nothing, turn up your regulator and that should help
