I remember reading something about it in the General Forums. I think that it was a guy who was shot in the back of the head and he had a major blood clot and eventually died. But that is off the top of my head. You might have to check back in the general paintball forum to read the real thing.

Local field said the only death in paintball has been due to a lightning strike in Colorado a few years ago.

 It was in a mag, saying that the man was old as dirt and had a stroke like a week before playing and relapsed on the field.

Rule number 1: Paintballs don't freeze. They just get brittle, and would most likely break in ur barrel
Rule number 2: If the ball is brittle, it would be softer on the neck.
It could happen, but its very unlikely

I've frozen paintballs before.... Blieve me, they dont get brittle, We have a piece of plywood in our back yard we shoot at....
Bounced off the plywood, and over the neighbors house... BOUNCED...

I think the only time you'll day from paintball is if you have heart problems and you have a heat attack. I dont think a paintball can kill you.

over at this school near my place
like a bunch of dumb idiots were playing in the football field
and than one kid took off his mask for some reason
and his friend thought it would be hilarious to shoot his face
well on the papers it said he died
people do die from paintballs its highly possible
think 300 fps object smashing your face

It would have to be in the temple or just the right spot of the eye. If someone has died it would most likely be from something like a nitrogen tank rupturing.

I think if you play paintball "Correctly" then you cant die. By correctly I mean with the correct FPS and safty gear.
The only death associated with paintball (by the press) recently, occured in England. It was later discovered that paintball did not kill him, but as the poster above said, the player had a history of medical problems. He did take a paintball shot to the head, but according to portions of the coroner's report (it's available online), that was not the cause of death.

Some of the posts in this thread are retarded.

All sports have risks, hockey players wear gear but once in a while they get injured when hit with the puck, all sports are risky but in this sport there is less of a risk.
