I really need some help from you guys! I have a couple of questions I need anwsers to.
1. When I bought my Tippmann 98 Custom (about two weeks ago) I got it with a phycobalistics double finger trigger, Tippmann vertical asa adapter, and a PMI expansion chamber. Anyways the question here is the sealed the steal baraided cord at both ends with loctite! Is there any way I can separate it?
2. My second question is I bought a J&J Preformance two piece barrel. I thought it was supposed to be new when I bought it at the store for about $200 and when I got home with it I realized there was a broken ball in the barrel and the two pieces wont come apart! What should I do about this?

If I took the marker back to the store I bought it would they do something about the fact that the sealed it all up with loctite? and also if I took the barrel back to the store should I be able to get I new one free? Anyways I want your opinions on what I should do about these problems?

One more thing! Other then the red dot site and the barrel the rest of the marker cost me $460! Did I get an okay deal? Also I live in Canada.

as far as the store replacing and fixing stuff, it all depends on the store. you got an ok deal, you prolly coulda gotten it cheaper, but with all the trouble ur having with it(barrel, locktite, etc) i would say you paid too much for the problems. as for the barrel, thats generally not supposed to happen, the paintball that is. the two piece is pretty well sealed, but not permanently. i have a big daddy, and it doesnt come off easy. the loctite is also not supposed to happen. i bought an exp for mine, and i had to do all the loctite myself, which i am regretting since it is a pain in the *** to get off for a drop forward. anyway, one last word of advice. dont spend too much money on a tippy. save the dollars and get a better tourney marker.

one last thing. in an earlier post u said something about ur exp being cold. the expansion chamber will get gold in the winter, but thats because there is cold co2 moving through it. i live in michigan, and when i play in the winter, i generally find it is a lot warmer to wear gloves, expansion chamber or not.

Okay thanks alot! Is it at all posible to unseal loctite? You said it was a real pain to get off. So how do you get it off? I don't care if it is hard as long as it is posible without recking it! Also about the X-chamber getting really cold I have gloves that are perfect for paintball now so I don't really care too much about it. And as far as the barrel having a broken ball in it I don't mind that much because other then the fact that I can't get the two pieces apart (which would be really nice if I could) it seems like it is still in MINT condition.
And the last thing is don't worry about me spending too much on my Tippy I don't plan on spending money on anything else except maybe down the line I might buy one or two things. ;)

locktite is like a glue on the threads. u can still undo it like you would a regular thread, it just takes a little more doing. take a wrench and pull and push and tug and grunt and sweat and turn and then it comes off

It wont strip the threads one it would it?

Chad: you live in Canada right? I sincerely hope so, because if you payed 200 bucks for a J&J barrel, you got ripped so bad it's not even funny. Even if you are in Canada, 200 bucks Canadian equals like 80 bucks American, or close, right? You still got ripped! HAHAHAHA!

Yes I live in Canada and the barrel seems pretty good. I heard that they are extremely good but are a little over priced!

Red loctite should be removable without much effort. Blue is quite hard to remove. The green acts almost like a complete bond, and you'll have to find an alternative to elbow grease to remove it.

The loctite that they used on my Tippy is red! (Thankfully!)
Also about me getting gipped with my barrel, all paintball equipment seems to be extremely expensive in my area! (I live in Ontario)

The cheapest price I have found I M98 custom for here was 360! It was at paintball maddness in Oshawa. Anyways I ended up getting the one they had that came with the vertical adapter the PMI x-chamber and the phyco balistics double finger trigger for 460. It also came with a squegee, hopper, Hoppe "9" oil, original trigger, and front grip. As well as all the allen wrenches and barrel plug etc. So I might not have gotten too bad of a deal but I heard from people that I play with that Paintball Maddness (766 Simcoe St. South) has the best prices around.
Also paintbrawler if you live in the area it is only $2.50 on a tuesday to fill a CO2 up to a 20oz!

To remove loctite simply heat the fitting with a soldering iron and it wil come right off. Then remove the loctite from the threads with acetone (nail polish remover) Take the barrel back or try heating the back at the threads and then unscrew it might be loctited too like boomsticks.

i know that that stuff works really good and all bout keepin it sealed good but maybe instead of using that stuff again just use tephlon tape.....it works just as good for seeling it and its not hard at all to get it undone.....only put about one layer of tape around ur threads though or its to much and will push off.....but what ever u want to do is fine

Okay on I noticed the J&J barrel I have when I look into it the bore size of the front piece is a mm. or two bigger then the back piece. Is this normal for a two piece and is it ok?
Paintballbabe

yep that is normal

Okay cool because I was worried that it might cause the barrel to be less accurate then it should!
