did you have to cut down the bolt to get that to work? did you have to retime it or anything?
nice job, looks really clean. it "could" use a new anno, but thats just imo.

How in the heck did you do that? How much did it cost? Did you do it your self?

it would cost around $400 and you couldn't do it yourself. I was just wondering why it is so much lighter? I mean compared to my O3 a normal D-fly feels like a block of iron. It doesn't seam like 3 inches cut off would make alot of a difference. And how has it made your gun faster? It still has the mech frame so why would it be any faster.

The gun becomes faster because the ram has less wieght to move back and forth. Basically the back block and a large chunk of bolt are gone so the the ram is able to cycle faster.

Actually making a turtle cocker out of a d-fly is cheaper then some may think: http://www.turtlecockers.com/
$275 with reannodizing and $170 without reannodizing.

Honestly im not sure why they are called turtle cockers. I dont have the whole story on them (they do LOOK like turtles withought barrels on them though)
http://www.turtlecockers.com/ Is the site of bob long, the guy who came up with the gun. He coined the term........

ROFL, Actualy when i first heard the name i though that sombody had starting making guns that looked like turtles...you know like how the dragon and species look?
Thanks sspb09, i forgot to add the JR in my post of Bob Long JRs name. Not to be confused with Bob Long who created the Timmys.
