and why would you want a gun like that? Is it because you want something that looks real? So you can pretend to shoot people? Because you won't be playing paintball much longer if people like keep using equipment like this and playing it like this. I'd honestly like to know why people would want to use something like this that hurts the image of paintball so badly... and why is this in the tourny forum? are you trying to get flamed to a crisp?

Dude, that gun is such a ripoff, its made by www.gun-fx.com, and they charge 800 bux i think. Seriously, its just an F4 (i think) with the M-16 a2 front & rear sights, stock, front hand grip, and Delta ring handguard mount. It all costs about 300 bucks to do. Anyways, the thing looks like crap, witht he hopper and the tank on it. My AT4 has no hopper, plus its a shorter version, modeled after an M-4 carbine. My gun has no hopper (its magazine fed), it is also select-fire (semi or full-auto capable).

Nice rec marker. Do you find that you run out of paintballs fast? Doesn't the clip only hold 25 paintballs? There are a few guys that have made mega loaders that hold 200 that attach under the forestock. Obviously you don't want the clip hopper attachment.

this is an old pic. I got one of those Airsoft C-mag drum mags (the ones that holed 200 rounds in real life) i then cut it down and fit it to a clip, so i can get around 100-150 shots, not bad, considering its tprobly the best lookin hopper ive ever seen. Ill try to borrow my friends digital camera so i can get soem pics up, of all my NEW equipment.

Yeah do that Tai, I'd like to see a couple more shots of that, What kind of range do ya get out of that, the barrels gotta be 20 inches isn't it?

I'd like to see a pic of that too. How finicky are those guns? I've talked myself out of getting one on several occasions because I've read they require a lot of maintenance.

Is it just me, or does the grip on Tai Mai Shus gun look very un AT4 like?

hey you guys, sorry, no luck, my bro's digital cam is screwed, so no pics for a while. :pissed:

but to answer some of your questions:

Killer Kat- The barrel on my marker is 16 inches long, i dont need one of those huge 100 foot "sniper" barrels that most militant newbs own. And i know this has been beaten to death, but every gun gets the same range, blah blah blah. BUT, not every gun gets the same accurte range. lets put it this way, the Accurte range to hit the average sized human is gonna be a lot further on an autococker with a freak barrel, than lets say a Stingray II with/out a barrel. AT guns far outrange many high end guns, because of its amazing accuracy. I can shoot a 5-6 inch group at 25 yards, and a 4 inch group at 25 yards when i put my marker in a vice.

Smakman- I find that my AT4 does not require
THAT much maintenance, i play around with friends with cockers, and i find they are usually sittin out twice as much as me due to gun failures (but then again they dont know s**t about cockers. I used to screw my gun up when i first got it because i was a stupid newbie, but now i have it down to a fine art. The only maintenance i must do now is preventative (cleaning all the dirt, paint, jizz (j/k), etc. out of the gun) and oiling the gun every 1000 shots. This oiling issue is not much of a problem considering i only go thru about 500 rounds per 7-8 hour day. This is because the AT series are sooo damn accurate. This is because of the unique "unisizer". It is basically a polymer detent that conforms to the size and shape of every paintball, making a perfect seal. This is much like a Freak barrel system, except the unisizer automatically adjusts, and does not have to be switched out. But no, this gun is not finnicky at all, it just needs a little TLC after every game.

Slayerized- Yes, the grips ARE very un AT4 like. This is because the stock AT4's have very unrealistic Eurogrips, which are fat and bulky, and basically suck a*s. I put the aftermarket lonestar m-16 grip onto the grip lugs. This makes my marker look very much more like an AT4. Here is a comparison between the stock and M16 grip, respectively. I found that the M16 fits much better in my hand, and i have a surer grip on my marker, as insignifigant as it sounds. Plus, it makes my marker just look more bada*s.

stock grips (looks odd, eh?)

Yeah, I've heard that they are very accurate. I may have to try one out one of these days after all. Do you use CO2 or HPA? I understand that they will not tolerate getting ANY liquid CO2 in them.

Paintball guns that look like real guns is a bad idea. Very bad.

I've played Rec before when a Sheriff came strolling in.
I can see a bad mix happening.

So the sheriff comes strolling in. Big deal. I'm not stupid enough to point ANYTHING at a law enforcement officer. Are you?

Really so what if it looks like a real gun? Look at airsoft, those things are scary the pistols are actually the same size and weight of a real one.

I clicked the MG42 link and it took me to the "MG42 rip off sissy version" also known in some parts as the M60 :)
