allright, i jsut got my timmy and i i want to put guages in but am unsure what to use to secure them, Lock tite, teflon tape etc. What do you guys use cause im scared shi*less about getting a leak and or stuff getting sucked into the valves.
also what kind of paint do you use in a stock barrel i was using wal-mart paint (shun me) sheridan visible impact which was allright but rolled right through the barrel and im assuming has something to do with my low velocity :P

pmi premiums, marbs, big ball. basically quality paint made by rps.
and i dont use anything on the threads of my guages. i just screwed them in.you could use teflon tape. or a light loctite on them. i recomend teflon tho.

i use teflon tape but be careful with it. when applying it make sure that you wrap it on the second thread and back only. don't try to get it on the very tip of the guage or it might cut a little piece off and send it into the solenoid.

WALMAT PAINT ISNT ALL BAD!
ok i am not some idiot newbie who thinks brass eagle is good, but i will swear by Pro Swirl made by RPS!!!!!!!
it may be a bit hard and everything, but i put it in my barrel and it is a PERFECT fit. I am using the old barrel, not the longshot. i dont know what the bore size for the 2 are but i do know it was an awesome fit. Plus the paint is very spherical and the hemispheres align very well. I know proball is a bit to small for the barrel though so stay away from that.

The reason that the paint was rolling out of your stock barrel is because the barrel is huge. They came in at 0.695" - 0.699" bore size. I would definatley reccomend using a higher quality paint though. Not ALL of the wal-mart stuff is crap. It just sit's there for a long time.
I use loc-tite on everything. I am a plumber and have unlimited supply of teflon tape. I had a couple of peices of tape get into my solenoid and completly screw it up. I now put on loc-tite. Small amounts. Let it dry for at least 1/2 hour and you should be fine.

i agree the rps super swirl works pretty good, but im still worried about haveing such a big bore barrel, im gonna order some RPS/pmi Premiums, hopefully theyll work good in the stock barrel(long shot Barrel).

They actually do work pretty good in the stock barrel. All I used was the stock barrel for awhile, even though I have a Boomstick, had a Dye Aluminum, an old Longshot barrel, and a stock cocker barrel (peice of crap). The stock barrel should work just fine for you.
No, Im not a newbie or stupid but Walmart sells the best paint for the $: RPS Super Swirl. Almost the same as Marbs and made by the same people. Its the best paint I have ever used besides diablo. The only bad thing is that Walmart doesn't always have them. TRY THEM OUT! Deffinatly worth $15.
