You should get a revy 2. Not only r they the lightest of the 3 hoppers, but it unloads at 19 bps, which is fast enough to keep up with the Ion no matter what mode ur on. Plus they are cheeper and (in my opinion) look cooler

Halo B w/ Rip Drive.

Let me tell you why not to buy the other ones.

1] The Egg 2 is slow 17bps (w\o board upgrades) and greatly unbalances the gun due to all of the weight being shifted towards the rear. Also the feed neck is a little flimsy so don't expect it to hold up well when you slide and slam yourself into those bunkers. :P

2] The Reloader B is a copy and rip-off from the Halo B and sound activated = bad. Why? Well it will force feed paint when you have people shooting near you and when you bump the hopper against a semi-hard surface it will also force feed paint. Also it's more expensive than the Halo B.

Milkydude, my only qualm with your post is that 17bps is the ion's max ROF (Stock), so speed doesn't really matter much at all beyond that.

Well, the HaloB has much more potential than the EvoII. So if he ever did upgrade, his loader would keep up. And the HaloB is nicer in practically every way than the Egg2 w/ Zboard.

i also heard the egg doesn't really feed 17-19 bps i heard around 16bps,
even with y-board

Don't expect the Ion to always have that 17 Bps cap my friend. Sooner or later a new bolt and new board will come out and surpass your expectations. As the matter of fact a QEV, when properly installed, will mechanically cap the Ion at 25+ bps. So the only thing hindering the Ion is the 17 bps board cap that smart parts has included as the stock board for the Ion.

It's not really a rip off, more of using a design that's already out there and revamping it with different technology. By your standards Timmies are all rip-offs of spyders.
It will force feed when you shoot, bump it and someone shoots next to you, but the thing about that is that it is spring loaded, which means it can't push any more paint down the breach if there's a ball in the breach already, unless you have no ball detents. It's more expensive because; it has rip drive, it has blind technology (feeds without the use of an eye) and because it RoXoRs my BoXOrS down to my SoXuRs.

I have a ion and I use a evolution II hopper without any speacial boards and it works fine

Chief, predator boards are already available. WAS is working on something, as is the guy who made T-boards. There's gonna be boards.

Well there is currently a new board for the Ion called the "Predator". Ydna installs the boards if you have no clue how to do it yourself.
