I'm wanting to get a 04 Vert Cocker. I want to get a Nitro system, preferably a small system. (Just because I normally buy a Free Air Pass anyways.) I know the common formula is:

cubic inches/pounds per square inch

But how does a Nitro system work? Whats the difference between High Pressure Nitro and Low Pressure Nitro (aside from the obvious) in regards toward the 04 Vert? (Does it matter if I use High Pressure or Low Pressure?)

-Possibly more questions later

Thanks for any help.

uhh, i belive you are, but really hope that you are not a noob. a cocker is not a noob gun and nitro is not a noob system. I have been playing for 4 years with a spyder imagine and a 20oz tank, and I do just fine. Get a tippy, pirhana, or a spyder for starters, then move your way up. My pet peeve is rich noobs that get GREAT stuff right off the bat, when I have to WORK for my $$$. I dont know if this is you, but it sounds like it. Correct me if I am wrong. Besides, if you are new to cockers, you wont have a great time, you eill short srtoke, screw up the timing, and probbobly screw up the gun trying to fix the timing. As for the nitro, if you can afford it, I hate you. I can barley afford paintballs

if you want something small id suggest getting a Crossfire 45cu/4500psi stubby, small and effecient.

nitrogen/compressed air, unlike CO2 is warm, so you dont go through internal orings as much, and you dont get velocity spikes like CO2 gives you. look in the stickies either here, air system, or in previous threads here.

the diffrence between HP and LP, is the pressure that the regulator is set at, HP is generally 780-850PSI, and LP is 400-500PSI

for a cocker, get LP, if you get HP it will put your reg under uneeded stress, and if you dont have a reg, your hoses WILL burst the second you put it in.

PS: a LP tank is marked by crossfire with a BLUE color around the reg, and HP is marked by RED

nooo high pressure for cockers. you will more than likely experiance major FSDO with a LP tank on a cocker.
