I'm looking to get a model 98 in about a month here and I'm wondering what would be the best choice for a beginner like myself to get? I've already chosen what barrel I'm going to get, but I need to know what expansion chamber would be best. :D
Please reply, me need to know! THANX!
P.S. I'm also debating between the JT Proteus and the V-Force Morph... lemme know what you think...

you can get an expansion chamber but i would get some other stuff first. you said you already have a barrel picked and that's the most important upgrade because the stock barrel sux. instead of an expansion chamber i would get a reg like the palmers stabilizer if you running co2 or a vigi if your running nitro. also you may want a dropforward so that you can bring your tank forwards and balance your gun better. if you like double finger triggers then you can get that. but whatever you get you will love your tippy.
i would get a morph. the quick relies lens system kicks MAJOR ***.

Everything they said above is great. For the mask debate, here's how to decide: if you have a larger-than-normal head, don't buy the Proteus, get the Morph. The Morph gives more protection, but it is a larger target. The proteus gives a tiny bit less protection (depending on your size of course), but is much smaller as a target then even, say, a Flex 7. Your decision, but I strongly suggest that you try on both first, before you buy.

I'm not sure but i dont think its worth upgrading to an expansion chamber because...the tippy comes equipped with the cvx valve system. I'm not sure what it does but the people at my local paintball store told me not to upgrade the xchamber because of the cvx valve system.
