Hey I have a Dragun TES and would like some help on how to install the new 25g switch, Breakbeam eye, and T Board onto my TES. I have read many reviews about them, and have now decided to add these upgrades to my gun. I also accidently broke my stock microswitch for my gun while trying to modify the pull of it, so any help from those who have already installed these accessories would be great. So please answer the following questions:
1) Installation of the T Board
2) Installation of the 25g switch
3) Installation of the Breakbeam eye (should I even install it at all if I have the stock eye?)

It should just be a matter of taking the old parts out and replacing them in the same order. Nothing really special about it.
Also, you should install the new eye, the stock TES eye is not very good.

the board is pretty easy, you just gotta remember which wires go where. I would recommend taking a picture of it before you start unhooking the stuff.
the eye, I would recommend as an upgrade, but you are gonna have to do some modifications to your gun, to be able to put it in. because the stock eye is a one piece, while a breakbeam is a two piece unit. You can get them professionaly installed for about 20-30 bucks at Some paintball shops, machine shops, or possibly even by a gunsmith. the scenariodreams.com site has a list of installers.
the microswitch- here's what you will need for it. a medium sized phillips screwdriver, a punch, the alan wrenches that came with it, a 5/6" standard alan wrench, something to hit the punch with, possibly a solder gun, and solder, and some patience.
first, use the 5/6 alan wrench to take off the eye cover. then CAREFULLY take the eye out of the jack/wire, and make sure not to lose that small clear strip of plastic, that keeps paint from getting into the eye.
next, unscrew your trigger frame, and carefully move it away from the body of the marker. then unscrew the grip panels and take out your battery. In mine, I had to remove the sear, to be able to get the switch out.
take the punch, and carefully knock out the pin that holds the sear in, hitting the pin on the round side, not the star-shaped side. also- be careful, as soon as the pin is out, the sear will shoot out of the gun, if you arent holding it.
I also had to take out the solenoid, to get the switch out. there is a small alan screw at the top of the frame, that holds it in. Dont unwire it, but be careful not to damage the wires or connections to it.
theres two small screws that hold the switch in, unscrew those, and then wiggle the switch out from behind the trigger. it takes some work, to get it out.
unhook the old switch, and then attach the new one. If you havent got a presoldered switch, cut the wires where they are soldered to the old switch, and then solder them to the new one (if you havent used a solder gun before, practice first, on something that is disposable.)
After thats done, wiggle the switch back into place, and screw it back in. Put your solenoid back into place, and screw it down. replace your sear, but make sure that the spring is sitting as it needs to in the slot in the sear. Run the eye wire back into place, and replace the eye in the jack. put the clear cover back into place in the body, and then put the eye in, and screw the eye cover back on. Reattach your trigger frame, and then put the battery back in, and replace the grip panels.

to get out the switch, i just took the gripframe off and after removing the two screws holding it in, it would slide out the top of the gripframe through the large open space behind the trigger at the top of the grip frame. if this works, it keeps you from removing the sear and having to readjust it after you put it in. another idea would be to just replace the switch after you removed the old board, since it would give you more room to work. take wolf's advice if installing breakbeams, get a machinist or gunsmith to mill the holes because it isn't worth messing up your gun.

Note on the Pins that hold the switch in....on the newer draguns the are WAY over sized for the holes and a real "female dog" to remove.
HAHAHA Darke Hit post twice? :P

heh....I guess so. actually, after I'd hit "submit reply" my browser timed out, because it took so long to connect to the darn server. or so I thought. So I did a new one. hrm oh well...deleted the second one.
I couldnt get my switch out thru the top. even after I had taken the trigger out.
also just wanna mention that the newer TES' dont have an adjustable sear.

Thanks guys for the help. I have already taken it apart and I am just waiting until the parts are in stock at scenario dreams so I can order them.
Can some one tell me this? How many BPS do you guys get on average with your T Boards? 20? Just wonderin.

well, I havent been able to get a t-board for mine yet. But its all going to depend on your fingers, your speed, and your setup, as well as your shooting style.
I think, the better question, would be....How much of an improvement do you see after installing the t-board?

Hey thanks you guys for all the information, not only in this forum but other forums also, since I am a Newbie when it comes to talking about my Dragun (I really don't know that much about it!) But I feel like I am learning some valuable lessons and lots of good stuff (yea I know that it sounds corny). Well thanks again and maybe I can try and help a Newbie out some time.:dunce:

Welcome :) its not that big of a deal really, being new. I knew almost nothing about paintball (tho, my friends DID make a strong point to me, NOT to pick up paint off the ground, hahahaha!) when I first came here. my tes hadnt even arrived in the mail yet. most of what I know is from these guys, some of the guys in the kingman forums, and research on some items of interest, and from my own tes.
we've got a good bunch of guys here in the dragun forums, yup yup :)

Yea well as far as I'm concerned they are most likely a bunch of losers who rather talk about their guns are better and talk trash to others than help those of us who could probably whip the crap out of them with our "sucky guns". All in all I guess we are more serious and devoted to the sport and to pbreview.com, but anyway. Yea thanks for mentioning the troubles you all have had with them, so I didn't feel like I was alone.
As I mentioned in my other forum, my grips are now broken, so I am going to be searching like crazy since I will have my T Board pretty soon (Damon seems like a great guy). If you all know of any source to get some grips, tell me.
P.S. Oh and DarkeWolf I noticed you live in Missouri. St Louis is in Missouri (I hope it is:confuse:), and of course this Carolina boy is pulling for those Tar Heels! Well anyway, thanks and hopefully my gun will some day be problem and upgrade free.

I'm sure that pbn has its share of good users. I mean, some of the guys from here, are on there. But in general, I just didnt like their forums there. There is some really good information available on their site, but I just dont like it enough to sign up for membership.
Well, I was going to say, that I cant help you out with the grips. But I just remembered...there is a guy on ebay that is selling a problematic TES, and its still pretty cheap. It would be a good marker for having around as replacement parts. If it doesnt sell for too much.

I was thinking about bidding on it, but I dont have paypal.
St Luis is in MO, yep. Its about a 4-5 hour drive from Kansas City, which is about 45 mins away from where I live :)
Mind if I ask what you're gonna be doing in the city of the arch? PM me if you dont mind answering, so that we dont spam up the thread with OT stuff :)
