well heres the story of my first pb idea.
my friend jimmy and i were at his house while his and my parents were havin a party and he brought up the subject of paintball. well he got online and showed me a brass eagle afterburner. I thought it was so cool. (hey give me a break i didn't know squat.) well after about 1month of research i finally got it through my head that brass eagle aren't any good. well after all summer of saving my money i bought my very first gun, a spyder rodeo. boy i don't regret the choice.
then with the leftover money i bought a new barrel.well that was about 9 months later. well a few months ago i called him and said how that afterburner was doing and he said he trashed it cause it was messed up.then just to get him real ticked i told him my spyder rodeo was so great! well first thier was no responce:| but then he hung up. i figured he was pretty ticked after the second time he hung up.

hahahhahahahahahaha

How I got into paintball:

I got tired of not knowing what the hell everyone was talking about, as it was the style of the time among my friends, so I adventually decided I'd go with them one day.

I have a kid at school that always tries to embarrass me infront of my friends and the ladies, so I got into paintball, since that's all he talks about, to kick his ***.

I got a Talon (which I still have, and yes it still works). And the rest is history.

I went to feilds about 4 times before I played, I just didn't have the gusto to try it. I was a huge wussy.

planned on buying a spyder from some guy with another friend, never happened. the next year i was at a different school and met another kid who had played once before with his own gear on his property. i bought a prolite and taso barrel, ****ty jt mask, and four of us went out. first shot went middle of my forehead, felt like a punch. then three more years of regular outlaw ball, i went to a field for the first time and chronoed at 350...
in the six years since then, i never really minded getting shot and now i dont even flinch. still wish i had a prolite.

My dad told us about it when my twin and I were 4 years old, back in '86. We wanted to go then, but he made us wait until we were 14. Been palying off and on for almost 9 years since.

Played with a BE Avenger with 17 other kids at a homemade course at an old dump. I don't think I'd ever had more fun in my life.

I was 10 and my dads freind was a salesman for Brass Eagle, Viewloader, and JT. I got a new genesis surge from him, with 2 tanks, mask, hopper, and everything else to play with for $100. That was like, one the most reliable guns ever...

About a month ago I was extremly ****** off at the jerks at my school. Every day they would hassle me over nothing. While on the net, looking for some stress relivers, I stumbled on a pic of some guys playing paintball. As I looked more into it, the more I wanted to try it. (-now I'm just rambling-) So got myself a Pirahna and some gear. And about not long after that, I went over to my friend's house to play some quick rounds with some other guys that went to my school. Then I notice one of the guys is one of the jerks that I got so ticked off about. When we started the game, it started to rain and I couldn't see anything through my goggles. So I started to shoot anything that moved in front of me. When the game ended, the jerk that I mention had a big swollen welt on his arm. He said it hurt like a ****** ****** and that I caused it. Which just made my day.

My cousin was a huge paintballer and he always told me about it and showed me that even ten year olds were doing it. So i was talking to my mom and she said "Maybe when your older." So sure enough 2 years ago i got my first gun, yep a VL Triad, i was so excited i almost wet my pants.
But i really wasn't "in" to it but it took my friend to get me to play because all i had was my bro. So there you have it.

Its been a long time coming but I'm about to take the trip that got me into paintball. My best friend John and I have gone camping in the middle of nowhere MI for years, we used to ride ATVs before I sold them to my cousins who live up where we camp. years ago John and I talked of playing PB because the landscape screams play here. It's the maturity of what started out as a man planted (read rows of trees) pine forest but now has other growth as well. There is lots of sand (great for ATV riding) and ferns everywhere.
I personally purchased a gun and went up to play with my 2 bosses (shooting your boss rocks BTW) but John did not have a gun so he didnt go :(
he just purchased a tipp 98 and his fiancee got a Piranah GTI e-force. I cant wait to light both of them up with white and yellow paint.
Happy hunting

This actually happened over the course of this year.

During our swim team season, the military boy (he's known for his obsession with military stuff and hence paintball is about tactics and whatnot, thus part of his daily activities, labeled "annoying" by everyone) decided that it was a good idea to host a paintball trip (every1 pays for themselves, and we get to go to skirmish USA in PA).

Since the last time i had played pball was in 8th grade(im in 12th now, gonna graduate in 3 days =P ) i was very eager to go, as i had never forgotten paintball but the only thing that gave me a bad experience was the field (my dad ended spending $127 dollars, COMPLETE ripoff, even i felt bad for making my dad spend that much, all we got out of it was a day of play, about 650 rounds, and rental) that was it. Since he said it was only like $65, this was my chance.

Low and behold, he's also known for his stupidity, he tells our coach. Note that this is in the middle of the season, when we are still swimming. Coach obviously cancels everything.

This royally pissed me off. This occurred from december to janurary.

During that christmas, i also bought a cheap gun (zxs - 400, thing still doesnt work, i already have another gun, no matter what i do, it doesnt work) I ask him to help me and he says yes.
When i bring it to him, all he says is "Oh, this gun is a piece of crap" WOW. what an ***.

This fuels my rage a bit more, not only does this kid screw up the trip, he disses my gun and doesnt even try to help.

I finally looked around and bought myself a stingray II ice (i know i know, im gettin an imagine in like 2 weeks, bare with me, ill be making 10.50 an hr and workin 6 days a week) The gun required work but that was that. But even with that, i convince my friends to play, one had one hidden in his closet, the other two bought their guns, now one of their brothers in comin wit us and another kid wants to come

Now ive got all my friends into it and i purposely leave military boy out of it, just so he knows that he's not wanted (personality wise, he sux too) ive got a 2 vs 2 now (soon to be 3vs3) and we play EVERY week.

1. BE Blade
2. Spyder Victor II
3. B2k4 PDS
4. Proto Matrix

Wow, relatively old thread...

Anyways, I started out about 4.5 years ago with a BE talon playing outlaw at my cousin's b-day. Later I bought an F4 Illustrator (which I still have after four years of faithful service). The talon, sadly is no longer with me; I gave it to a friend whose M98 self-destructed.

Currently, I play maybe 4-5 times a year, for lack of cash and rides to fields :|

i went to a friends party when i was about 12, 2 years ago, and everyone but the b-day kid had never been (how convienient). everyone except the b-day kid was using rentals (how convienient), tippmann pro-carbines or prolites i really cant remember. anyways everyone sucked and the only game i was actually any good at was the last game of the day, which was C.O.F regeneration. besides getting hit numerous times in the groin area, the whole day was fun for me and for some reason i completely forgot about paintball for a month, then me and my friend randomly decided to go to oshmans and buy our very first guns.

'tis my tale.

my friends got guns and showed off their bruises, but never said how they couldn't hit anyone. I bugged my parents for like a year and bought my tl-x (3 weeks ago). Now im shooting three times as many guys as my friend who has an imagine with and evil pipe.
