I just fired my brand new tippmann 98 custom with its stock barrel. Does anyone else think its loud? also i have a new j & j ceramic 14 inch barrel on the way, should be here thursday.

will the J&J be quiter then the stock barrel?

Yeah, it definitely on the loud side, but what mechanical semi-auto isn't? I've heard some Spyder that would almost make your ears ring.

Your J&J will be quieter, but you probably won't notice much, after all you are right next to the marker. To really tell the difference you'd have to be hearing it from a distance away.

Oh yeah, sniperdude, don't post dumb replies in MY forum. You ever watch Bambi when you were a kid? If so, perhaps you are aquainted with the whole "If you can't say something nice don't say anything at all" concept. Apply it please.

teh stock barrel is hell-a-loud....considering ....

the J&J will have a big difference from your stock barrel....

yes the j&j is one of the most quitest barrels i have seen ecxept stiffys so it will make big difference in sound and accuracy

Now i could've sworn, SWORN, that I addressed this problem and his posts in my first reply to this thread. Is that not correct? I seem to see from READING that it is in fact correct that I addressed this problem. Why then, is it still a problem? Did I not make myself clear, did I st-st-st-st-STUTTER? I'm not going to address the fact that you jacked this guy up, that's done and over with, and you should all already know better.

What I am going to address is WHY you chose to jack him up. It seems to me that the reason this guy got it laid on him by every poster in this thread is b/c I said something to him in the very beginning. It strikes me b/c Mr. XYX did it as well, and when I said something to him about it he seemed to understand. Just b/c a mod tells someone to shut their mouth and stop being dumb does not, I repeat, DOES NOT give you guys liscence to pile on. Just b/c I told this guy to shut his hole doesn't mean that you are all allowed to do the same with impunity. Have we reached an understanding on that front? Good.


Mr. XYX you got at least one real answer out of this, and I'm afraid that's all you're going to get I'm shutting this one down. Head on over to Barrels and Paint, I'm sure someone will ahve said something about it there, also check reviews, a lot of guys with 98C's have probably said something about the Ceramic considering how popular it is.
