Hey everyone. This is my first time posting in this forum, so sorry if this has been posted before. Well, here is the thing. I got my BM2K2 like a week ago and have played with it already. Im using a "Freak System" as my barrel(s) of choice and All-Stars with the matching insert, which fits perfectly btw. OK, Im using a preset LP tank (450psi output) from PMI w/ the stock reg. I getting good consistency and efficiency, but not enough range. I used to have a Mag before and it had very good range. Now I dont know if switching to a J&J Ceramic will help (thats what I heard) but Im willing to hear any suggestions on what to get for my Bushy to improve (not greatly) the range. Thanx

Long Post, sorry.

Hah, thats not lack of range, thats lack of kick, pull and less noise thats makeing you think you're getting ****ty range. Ask Simon, he put a few macdev fairies in his gun and thought his range was shot because of the lessend kick. All range is the same, but if you want proof http://pbstar.com/randebtherre.html

true story.
i put on a couple mac dev goodies and shot a couple balls. due to the quiteness and lack of kick i though maybe i wasn't putting enough pressure through and it felt like i was shooting about 100 fps. but when i went to the field i was shooting 300+, i tuned it down a bit and was very satisfied with the new feel.
and a new barrel won't help that much. if a stingray and an angel shoot over a chronograph the exact same speed, the balls will go the same distance. most any aftermarket barrels will only be different in terms of looks and sound.
so if you're getting the same readings over the chronograph w/ the bushy as you were with the mag then don't worry about it.

Thanks a lot guys. Oh, Im proud to say that Im a owner of a 68/4500 Conquest, YaY. I got rid of my brand new LP Crossfire after just 2 weeks of buying it and traded it in and $250 for a Conquest. It looks awesome cant wait to try it out on the field. Late

Yen, macdev is mainly an aftermarket customazation company, they make really nice products for bushys and cockers, as well as some hot Macdev edition sonic bushies and cockers. www.macdev.net They make valves, lprs, frames, and regs for bushies. Good shtuff.
