Yeah, they're not really as good as some of the other products out there for the same ammount of money. But still it's not all that bad. I'm going to move this to the brass eagle forum. Though, they might tell you a little differently there. :)

They are very good markers for the money. You can get one for about $250.
Ziptie? So what? You know what a lot of poilce use to restrain people's hands? Zipties! Yes! Zipties! They are practicaly unbreakable.
Do yourself a favor and read this:

Do yourself another favor and ignore anyone that used the words "suck" or "a$s". As you will learn, those are words that idiots throw out when they cant give you any real reason that a gun is not worth the money.

it's a good gun, just like any other be product out there, you gotta give it tlc. give it a good oilin before you get out on the field also. but really other then the fact that it's gonna be a loud mofo it's still a good gun, just gotta play nice with it.

Could you exaggerate that any more?
The Mac valve is held to the RAM by Zipties. That's it. It doesn't hurt anything at all, and doesn't make a damn when you use the/a shroud. But, I play without a shroud, and haven't had a problem. Ever. Besides, they make little things called Mac-mounts that allow you to mount the Mac valve to the frame just below the RAM.

Can someone please respond to this, i need to know if there is a performance diference. The barrel looks different, the shround, a single trigger, look diferent. I really need to know if anyone has used both and knows about a performance diference.
Thanks

I definately would say so...Usually newer products do perform better then old.

The newer ones run off a single 9v, as opposed the the old (forget what they run on). The older use a select fire board, the newer usually don't. But, a different microswitch is used with the select fire board than the semi only board.
Performance? No real big difference between the two.

i would sooner get a spyder flash. or a xtra with a mako storm. but i would (and did) get a cocker over all of those.

While the Em-1 is MIGHTY tempting at the insanely low cost of $250, I would still not go for it just yet. I believe Kingman is coming out with an improved version of the EM-1, and this is why we are seeing such a dramatic price drop.
Also consider that the Rainmaker can use standard bottomlines and drop forwards, unlike amy Kingman product. This also includes the ability to add more aftermarket parts, do to the Rainmakers use of standard threading. And lets not forget it takes Cocker barrels!!! YAY!
One thing that must absolutely go on the RM, is the stock reg. It is a completely inconsistant piece of crap, much like the stock reg on the Shutter or EM-1 is. You can modify an Automag vertical adapter to fit the front of the RM and use it to add a new reg, gutting out the old one, perhaps to use it as an expansion chamber even. My friend got a great deal on a RM for just $165 on eBay, that would be a good place to look for even an already upgraded one!
