Hey there, I have been paintballing for about a year and a half now. I started off by buying a new Tippmann A-5, upgraded the barrell, and then have just been playing with that at my local field for like I said about a year and a half. Now, however, I am playing more and have more money, and thus wish to upgrade my marker to a high end electronic. I've read a lot online about Dragon Timmy's and Dm4's, and though I can see that a DM4 is a really high end marker, it is crazy expensive. My question is: for someone who is just introducing himself to high end electronic markers and knows nothing about autocockers, boards, bolts, or inner workings, what would yall suggest for a first marker? I am looking at an angel, DM4, Dragon timmy, or maybe a dynasty shocker, im not sure. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

How about you go to your field and learn more about them? Then shoot them and find out which one is for your preference.

Grab a DM4, mighty reliable markers. Just grease the bolt kit every now and then and you'll be set.

For future reference, don't make the exact same thread in 4 different forums.
And with that being said, grab yourself a sexified Proto Matrix like Someday did.

I don't like the look of freestyles, but that's me. You're entitled to your own opinion.
They are good guns though, from what I have seen from my friend's freestyle. Small, light and fast but his has crazy bad air efficiency. Supposedly, his came with an older bolt design, but if he sends his freestyle to ICD, they'll install the new one for free.

Actually freestyles are perfectly made for "Close Quarters" just grab the barrel and swing it like an axe.....

Meh get whatever you think feels the best. If you think a shocker feels better than like a DM4 or somethin then get teh shocker. Same for all other guns

the ion and b2k4 are around $300, if you want to keep it cheap.
You could buy used, also. Some mighty fine deals are out there.

I think that you should maybe look into the lower high end guns just until you get a very good understanding of higher end guns. People will disagree with me and say it's a waste of money if you're just gonna get a new better gun, but I think that buynig a DM4 and then screwing it up beyond repair because you had no idea what you were doing is not a very good plan wither.

well as long as your careful and dont take any showers with your gun you won't mess up anything beyond repair. Manuals are a good way to learn about guns. So are forum stickys in specific company forums. You can pretty much spend a couple of hours looking up information and you'll get the jist of how the gun works.
