View Full Version : blade or new marker
alright, I am coming to this forum instead of the WGP or the action markers because I am trying to avoid biased aswers, so on to the question. I am trying to decide whether or not I should blade my 2k3 vert feed cocker, or buy the Diadem from action markers. The reason I am looking at the Diadem is because I am in their affiliation program. The Diadem i am looking at comes standard with break beam eyes, 6 fireing modes, can fire up to 25bps, and costs about 600, and has a good raiting at PBreview. But my buddy is saying that I should just blade my cocker. I told him that the thing has been farting out on me and i don't want to put another 250 for an E1 or another 400 for an E2. So, If I can get some non-biased answers and/or opinions please post them here.
Thanks, CCI

I think you are limiting your options way too much. I would not stay with the Cocker because Cockers are very heavy and their resale continues to go down. I would sell it and look for a used marker on PbN, based on what kind of markers appeal to you. Shockers and Timmies appeal to me, so that's what I would get, but it's all about how they feel in your hands.
Diadems are definitely not the way to go. They are made by a new company that doesn't have a lot of experience under its belt, and they are ugly to say the least. There are just much better markers out there for around the same price.
BTW - Everyone can be a part of their affiliate program.

If you sell the cocker and add some, you can get practically anything. Look into matrixes, intimidators, and angels would be my picks.
I probably should have added that I am not looking for anymore used guns, I bought a used Impulse once, and the wiring was all screwy and the body was stripped, i fixed the wiring and my friend retapped the body, then I sold it for 70 more than I payed, and I bought this cocker used as well, and this thing has just been a piece of crap. So, I'm looking at new guns only.

Well... for $300 there's the Ion and b2k4, for $450 you can get the b2k5.

I would get a b2k5 if you have that money, it has some great stock features along with being backed by a great company.

well i can see where your coming from but not everyone will be like that. Most people with high end guns take very good care of them. Just make sure you talk to the owner before you buy, get some pictures, or even do some 3rd party.

Then wouldn't you know how it would perform before you bought it?

I just haven't updated that in a while, eventually when I get a tourney ready gun, I will get it...oh yes, I will. And i haven't paintballed with the two kids before because they work on the weekends and that is when I paintball, they play during a thing called team nights at a place called ultimate paintball, and that is wedsdays from 5-11, and I don't want to play on a wedsday. So I assumed that they would be reliable and a good friend, and not rip me off.

or if you were hellbent on buying another cocker, you could take the cash, sell the prostock, and buy a lighter cocker with parts that dont need replacing.
