Why do some people prefer the .45 grip over the M-16 grip? Is there really much of a difference? Which would you suggest?

angle/thickness/etc. all change when switching btwn a 45 and m-16 style grip frame, and neither is really 'better' since everyone's hands and personal 'feel' are different. 45 frames do have that 'trick' look to 'em, since you can go out and buy your color-matched stickies so you're on top of the fashion food chain, but try 'em both out and see which fits your hands better.
for example, I can't STAND cci's m-16 grip, it feel like crap, but the actual 'lonestar' m-16 grip is something else entirely, it's a little wider in the palm and feel better to me. those eurogrips that come on the thundercats are pretty comfy, too, and of course, std. 45's and hogues always feel nice...

I'd say spend the extra 30 dollars or so and go .45 ...modt people find them more comfortable inculding myself
Major reason is the diffrent grips that are avalilable. Unless you clearly like the M-16 style grip better than the .45. You can get a ton of diffrent grips that change the feel of the .45 grip a little so you can fine tune it.
Good luck TRON
