View Full Version : Hidden Modes?

i was looking through google, cause i heard that there's some sort of chip for the tes that lets u have full auto, 3,6 round burst etc. this may be a myth, but im still wondering. i found this forum (bare with me, i know its not pbreview forum :( ) http://www.paintballforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=79000

one of the guy's shows that u can unlock the hidden modes by adding a paperclip to the 1st and 3rd "holes" in the little black "thingy" ( i guess where a chip would go or something) and then u remove the eyes and it'll unlock some modes. anyone try this before? i was considering tying it... but... i dont trust paintballforum.com and i need help from those who know more, here at pbreview. is it possible?
thanks everyone

ive heard it works on the TES but not the TES B, and one person i know killed their board by trying it.

theres a thread somewhere on pbn about adding a jumper to the board, to unlock nitro mode. Dunno about the other firing modes. Dunno much about it either, just that somebody told me about it when I was still pretty new around here.

There are no 'hidden' or 'locked' modes. The burst modes do not exist on the TES, you can not create modes by adding a paper clip. The full auto feature does work, you have to remove your eye board from the main board. It will chop balls like crazy and could damage the marker. Whats wrong with semi-auto? Live with it....

if you are even thinking of going to tournaments...then i would not do that. Most people want their gun to be faster to make up with their bad skill...

oh no, i dont wanna do that for any tournaments. I dont even want that to play. i just thought it would be a cool novelty to have it, even if i wouldnt use it.

Yeah, I used to have a bb gun that you could hook up to an air compressor and it would go full auto. that was a lot of fun. I'd never have full auto for something that I was aiming at a PERSON, because of safety reasons. But just having it to blast away at stuff is pretty fun.

what gun? I have a Air compressor, but the psi is only 150.... i dont think a TES could run that low, so im guessing it was maybe a timmy?

lol no... BB gun. shoots little round Metal bb's. Wasnt a paintball gun, and that was before airsofts came into the scene.
Gawd...what WAS the name of that thing!? It looked kinda like a Ingram M10 with a silencer. Made by a company that made bb guns that looked like real guns. they were expensive as hell too. Usually upwards of 150 bucks each.
Crud, I cant remember...I was like...15 at the time. Gawd! that was about 19 years ago.

Well, thanks to tlplusgamer asking some questions in another thread, I can answer your question, nintendofreak.

damon of scenariodreams just came out with a t-chip for the dragun t-boards. its got semi tourney lock, reactive trigger, burst, and full auto. 20 bucks. tho, you will need to install a t-board to be able to run the chip.
http://www.scenariodreams.com/dragun_tchip.htm

heh....this really gets my curiosity going. sweetspotting, I can max out the cps of my factory board. I wonder.....how fast it would go with the unlimited cap. and then throw in that reactive trigger. hmmm. damned curiosity.

I have an ulocked TES B W/Dose! there are two pins at the bottom of the lower board on both the tes and torid models. the torid i belive requires removing the jumper off the pins and the tes requires putting a jumper on this unlocks most of the modes!

Hope this helps.

hah yeah. Hmm makes u wonder what they were thinking... has anyone here been to www.ottersccustoms.com ? its this one guy who shows u how to make all these home made mods. WEll anyways, he sells a "bubble" to put on ur gun. I one for a spyder i got, and its the exact same size as the one that says "tachtical...." i havent replaced the TES one though, u know to keep it Original. But if u want a "classier" look, u might wanna buy one of those

LOL i allways though the "Tachtical" was pretty funy. I kept it on my TES.
Otters got some cool info and stuff on his site. Talk about a Tinker Freak

I just took mine off because it was getting all dirty, I think it looks better without it

plus im thinking just like they did a play on words with Dragun they might have named it that way because the gauge looks like a tachometer... kinda, see for your self here (http://www.gfksales.com/listings/n72683/gallery/images/tachometer.jpg)

lol yeah, I might leave mine off too, if I take it off. but more just to keep them guessing what it is, from a distance.

it is a lil bit reminiscent of a tach, what with the colored warning levels.

Yes the TES and the T1 have modes that can be unlocked with a diode. Do the unlocking properly with a diode and not a paper clip. The paper clip will work, but offers no protection as the diode does.

The TES unlock will give you auto . . . but not like you think. It is still semi . . . one pull, one shot. The best I can describe is that it will check the trigger pulses more often. It is a nice mode to do. But do it with a diode and not a paper clip. You can buy a diode at Radio Shack for next to nothing.

Here are the directions:
http://www.geocities.com/godp777/

If you remove the eye board and eye, it will actually be full auto. The connectors that are on the eye board will be plugged directly to the main board. It is not a simple fact of unplugging the eye to get full auto.

The T1 will give you Auto, Multi, and Nitro (ramping) mode.

There is a gentleman that was building auto boards that work with the eyes, he has made the info available for anyone to make if they want.

You can also buy them here:

yeah, I gotta back TESballer up on that one. auto mode (not full auto) is stock on a TES.

lol yeah, so do I sometimes.

the first post that I'd seen from half-step here in the dragun forums was just awesome. He had written a post that was well written, very knowlegable, informative, and gave a lot of links for assistance.
I was really impressed.

Welcome to the dragun forums half-step. I hope that you decide to stick around, and enjoy the stay here :)

The earlier TES's did not have the modes unlocked. The diode had to be installed. If you check your TES (Dragun TES) and you have auto, then you have the diode already installed. Not all of the TES's came that way. Mine had to be modded to unlock the feature.

hmmm. when I got mine, the advert said that it had been upgraded to the "improved board". LOL I guess I finally know what that meant!

I never knew that, they must have changed it pretty fast then, as in most have auto already, learn something new everyday
