ok, one time i was at my local field and there were these 2 kids i'd say one was 14 and then he brought his little brother.we were on our speedball feild and i got his bro out.so it was him left and i had midnight diablo paintballs and so did my friend.we hit him about 10 times and i came around behind himand nailed him and i would have bunkered him but i cant because our field has cant get closer than 10 feet.then after it was over and they won we saw this kid take off his winter jacket in july in alabama he had 2 jackets on he wrapped himself in bubble wrap and 2 inch thick foam.

i was amazed then he started braggin "hey we beat those guy with high end guns" while he had a rental.i was ready to explode.

Give the kid a break...all of us at some point in time wore a lot of clothing. Somebody probably told this kid that it hurts soooooooooooooooooooo bad to get hit by a paintball so he decided to get some bubble wrap.

However, that part when he starts bragging pisses me off...I HATE THAT!

Ok my first time my brother's scared the **** outta me but still i only wore 1 sweat shirt and 2 t shirts, and i wasnt afraid to get hit anymore cause they shot me in my back walking over to my starting point. So i say. That kid needs to take a hit.

I know this one....because paintballs have a tendency to break on armour, but they bounce off bubble wrap like nothing else!

Stinking cheater. He should have to strip from the waist up and play a game with those same pissed off guys.

Cheating sucks! :pissed:

you got a good point about breaking on armour. Over the armour he should of used a thick winter blanket.

There is this guy we play with, he's actually pretty good, but he has this vest that almost everything bounces off of. We set it against a wall, put like 15 shots in it and only 1 broke. He's not even afraid of gettin hit, he just doesn't want to get out. That is kind of cheap if you ask me. I wear thick stuff in the winter, but in all other seasons I play in a thin camo long sleeved tee. In fact I got 11 in the back from five feet away since some guy lost his hopper, I point-blanked him. He says that he can come back in as soon as he finds his hopper. He does. he runs up behind me and pops a couple in me. then, when the game is over we argue and he pops another 9 in my back from real close. I had black and blue bleeding welts for the next 2 months.(well, not bleeding for 2 months)

The only kind of protection i ever wore was a normal, paintball chest protector, and that was the first time i played.
I just wear pants and a t-shirt.

does it hurt more to get hit in bare skin?

My newbie friend came wearing a lacrosse goalie chest pad one day! He was so afraid of getting hit, though, we never had the chance to test it. So I put it on after the game was over, and let my friends take some shots from about 6 ft. Not one broke! It came to the point that 3 guys were unloading on it at the same time! That is what you should wear if you are a wimp and don't want to get the full affect from the game!

it hurts more, but it still doesnt hurt that bad at all.

About the skin:

One time I was playing with only a t-shirt and jeans. From across the field, during speedball, a ball grazed my arm. It slit my arm (not deep, but I was bleeding). It didn't hurt too bad, but that's a lesson learned: wear at least long sleeve t-shirts :|

The first time I played I wore a sweater. My friend had a camo jacket, and you know those icey packs that you put in the freazer, he was stuffing them in his chest pockets:laugh:
There is one guy that we play with ( he owns the land we play on), he always wears a dirt bike plastic vest thing. He wipes all the time, I realy don't like that.

One time i was playing in my friends backyard with some of his friends. I see one of his friends coming from the frontyard with one of those things that an umpire wears on his chest.

Man, when i first started playing paintball. I only wore a t-shirt with a sweat shirt over it. Now I just use a green t-shirt. (Keeps me cool). Now I got a jersey to take the place of the t-shirt

Yeah my cousin wears swim shorts and a tank top. He says he would rather play nice and cool and get a little sting from a paintball.

Been wearing shorts damn near since say one-- the is SoCal-- there ain't much call for pants. Overpadding is pretty much restricted to noobs in these parts-- if you've been out a couple of times and you're still packing it on, we'll make you regret it. ;)

i were shorts and my jersey with a tanktop under it. And usually i get hot about half way through and just were the tanktop and finaly if its a hot summer day like it usually is here in South Carolina then i go no shirt at all by the end of the day. I found i dont really feel much pain and usually dont briuse. Actually the only time i have briuzed was when i was playin and it came down to me against 2 angles and a cocker and the cocker shot me with the barrel touching me. But that wasnt even that bad.
