Alright...today I went to my local field to enjoy a nice day of paintball, when I realized my marker didn't work. Basically, here are the symptoms...
1)The spring in the ram cap has barely any tension, so it doesn't fully push the bolt forward when the gun isnt gassed. I greased it, and its a little bit better but still has this problem. It is NOT broken.
2) When shot, the bolt DOES move back and forth, but it has barely any air behind it. Shots go 5-6 feet before dropping.
Here's a little more information...
The gauge is where it's supposed to be, so its not the regulator...
I'm thinking it's the ram cap or the LPR.
Please...PLEASE post any ideas you have. I dont want to have to start using my soon-to-be spare A-5.

was your lpr pressure high enough?

is this lpr gauge the gauge on the side of the gun? i thought that was the regulator guage.

set the gauge to 225psi and screw in the low until it leaks than back it off a quarter turn

First, make sure your regs are set correctly. If that doesnt do the trick, try these.

Two things to check:
-make sure the bolt isn't flipped. The side with the hole in it should be down :P . Stupid, I know, but you'll kick yourself later if you dont rule this out now.
-valve could be crooked. Take the valve out and make sure the hole in the side of it is facing up.

Regs are perfectly set. guage is set to 225, lpr was turned forward til leak, turned back half a turn, and still shooting about 5 feet before hitting the ground.
I'm thinking that something in the solenoid is messing up...anyone have any ideas?

the manifold, perhaps?

I'm still betting on a crooked valve.

Your HPR pressure is to low!!!

The B2K4 should have 275-300 psi on coming from the HPR!!!

Now a couple of questions.

Do you ever get a ball to go more than 5 feet out the barrel??? Maybe the first shot.

Try this. DO NOT FIRE THE MARKER UNTIL YOU GET TO STEP 4

1) Gas the marker up.
2) Goto the chono
3) Adjust your LPR up until you hear the noid leak then back it off a quarter turn
4) Fire marker over chrono
5) Fire second shot over chrono

Did the first shot come up to speed???
What did the second shot do???
Where both shots the same???

A lady at my field had that issue....i fixed it with a 275hpr and turn the lpr in until leak, then back off 1/4 turn and chrono....i then turn it back down 1/8 at a time until i get to the right fps....it was probably about a 1/4 turn less than a leak for where it needed to be. That fixed hers. Mine did that when i first got it because my valve was sideways.....so check that and the bolt like said befor. Lube your ram a little and your lpr. I know my lpr is funky when not lubed.

To respond to Shootpaint, I don't think that if the HPR was only 50psi to little, it would cause balls to go 1 foot. Anyways, it's now at 280, and I turned the LRP til I heard the leak, turned it back half a turn, and it still shoots about 1 foot.
Anyways guys... I've given up. I'm giving it to my local Pro-Shop, Kohn Sports, and making it their problem to fix it. I'm still going to have them tell me what was wrong, but I've given up on possibly making the condition on my marker worse. Since I last posted, though, I did C O M P L E T E L Y disassemble and reassemble, so I'm thinking something needs to be replaced.
Sadly though, its $50 for the first hour and $30 for every hour after that. Supposedly the guy who owns the place used to work for ICD as a Technician (for the markers), so I'm hoping for a quick and easy fix.
I'm more depressed with the fact that I failed to be able to handle the issue with my marker.

50 psi can make all the difference in the world!!!

Now a question for you. If you purchased the marker recently why not send it back to ICD for warranty repairers or send it to someone such as myself that owns a shop and is ICD certified. We can repair the marker for you under warranty for a far cheaper price than what you are about to pay.

i think i think the half turn may have been to much to let off the lpr....if i had to guess its between the lpr andd the valve.

Well, Shootpaint, I would...just one question...how fast is it possible to get it back to me? As the school year ends, the team I want to be on will accept me if I practice with them alot, and the next practice is Saturday the 23rd. And...how much would it cost?
Ermm...should we take this to PM's?
