I have an old Model 98. I can't find this in any other threads. How much does it cost to get a RT trigger installed by the Tippmann Proshop? Thanks for your help.

A lot more than you would pay.

Buy the R/T from your nearest proshop, and i am sure the shop will install it for you.

I would say... the only way to find out is to call them up and see what they charge.

Its really easy to install if you follow the instructions. I did it in 30 minutes. The only hard part is changing the tube where the air hose is hooked up to. Its a waste of money to pay someone to put something on your tippmann if its really easy.

did anyone read the part where he said he had an old m98? you would have to grind away alot of the insides and drill a few holes. its better to just send your 98 in and have it converted to a custom, a local proshop wont do that sort of thing for you.

look at the freakin site duh! http://www.tippmann.com/accessories/proshop/special.asp

out of all curiousity.. why would you take your paintball marker to a proshop to have them send it to Tippmann?
Why don't you just do it yourself and send the marker to Tippmann directly.. you can get to a Post Office right? or FedEX/UPS facility...

Do they change the old gun into a 98C or do they just give you a whole new gun and install the RT? It says they'll send you a kit so you can do it yourself but I still have my doubts...

I said Model 98 not 98 CUSTOM. The old Model 98, you have to do a lot of grinding away of the inside of the gun. There's websites that'll tell you how to do it but I rather not risk wrecking this gun when I can just pay some money and get it done by people who get paid to do it and won't mess up and if they do they're in trouble and not me(Most likely they'll give me a whole new gun). Please read and research before you post. Sorry if that seemed mean.

i know what you mean it isnt mean. somthing must be in the water cause gang of people couldnt possibly post without reading the first message. i dunno how a diys kit would work. maybe its just a 98 custom reciever, and a rt kit?

edit: or you could call them DUH!

I'm still going by what I said earlier.

The Response Trigger System is available for the A-5, the 98 Custom, and can be retro-fitted to the Model 98 by the Tippmann Proshop. Contact the Tippmann Proshop for more deatails.

On the website it says you can get it installed and get your old Model 98 upgraded to a 98c for $120 I'll probably do that. It'll save me a lot of problems with other upgrades like sawing off the current trigger to add a double trigger.
