Any one have plans for a Paint Mine???

I think you could build it out of PVC tubing, any ideas??

Even better idea. In the Feb. issue of APG, look for the article reviewing the 'Meteor Shower' paint grenade, the author tells you how to make a trap.

Sorry, I can't find my issue, and I don't have any plans for making paint grenades. I forgot where, but there is someone on this site who tell's you how to make one with paintballs, plastic eggs, celophane, vinager, and a toothpick.

Anyway, I think the directions were something like this:

First drill a hole in one half of the plastic egg, the toothpick should fit snugly in the hole. In that same half, put three paintballs, and cover the half with the celophane. in the other half, fill with a small amount of vinager. Put the halves together (obviously so the vinager doesn't spill). When you want to use it, poke the celophane with a toothpick, and shake it well.

I've never used it before, so if it works, tell me. Once again, this is not my idea, so don't blame me if it doesn't work.

How about this, take old bicycle tire tube cut it up leaving about 8" on each side of the valve stem. Fill it with some paint then bend over like 2"-3" of the tube on each end rubberband and then pump up the rest of the tube. If you throw it the rubberband should come off throwing paint around. Just thought of this the other day and haven't tried it.

There ya go!, But I would have thought you need some bicarbonate of soda to react with the vinegar...but I wouldn't know.

I think all you need is some kind of mild acid. All that it does is eat through the paintballs gelitan shell. For that matter, If you had enough, you could probably use squeezed lemon juice.

Personaly I would like to keep the chemicals out of the combination. I want something kinda instant, like the tire tube idea. I like those one mine but I cant figure out how to make it out of pvc, also I thought of another thing I have a rough drawing of it, just to get people brain storming (dont make jokes about the shape, I didnt mean to make it look like that). And if you decide to try to make one take some pics and explain how exactly you made it

ok me and my friends bought one... we figured out how to make them... and now we've got like 20 of them lol

its basically a piece of PVC pipe... put an end cap on one end and have a lid or cap for the other so it screws on.

get another piece of PVC pipe/tubing thats alittle pit bigger than a 12 gram CO2 cartridge.

get a roofing tak and place it in the middle of the bottom of the PVC thing.

put the PVC tube that is alittle bit bigger than 12 gram cartridge over the roofing tak/nail thing. so that the tak is in the tube at the bottom.

fill the outside of the tube with paint... and place the CO2 cartridge inside the little tube.

now you can make your own little trigger/lever thing where they step on it, that the CO2 gets pushed down on the roofing tak and it will blow the paint out of the mine.

on the lid of the mine where the lever/trigger thing that you step on. you have to drill holes so that the paint can spray out of it when the blast of CO2 hits the paint.

I made one almost like the one at the top of the page, the only thing that bugs me is how did they make the valve for it? I know the trip wire turns it on bug what else? does anyone have like the inside drawing of it or could someone make one.

I was looking around for a how-to paint mine and other cool stuff and i happened across(hope it works:| ) and there should be a list of all kinds of stuff, scroll down to the middle and there will be mines and launchers and all kinds of stuff.
